Ghana’s budding entertainment/music channel 4syteTv has been very instrumental in promoting Ghanaian Music Videos for close to a decade now. They’ve apparently challenged Ghanaian artists to produce better videos over time with the introduction of the prestigious 4syteTV Music Video Awards.
However, Ghanaian music still isnt able to break through the African market as much as Nigerian music despite the good sounds coming from Ghanaian artists lately.

D-Black in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz fm last week explained why he feels Ghana music isn’t able to reach audience across Africa. “You know, besides youtube, there is no platform for people in other countries to have easy access to Ghanaian music because Nigerians basically own and control the popular music channels on DSTV. If 4syteTV was on DSTV then fans across Africa can easily gain access to Ghanaian content” he said.
Hopefully measures would be put in place to make this happen because Ghanaian music has come so far and its just unfair to limit it to only the Ghanaian market either home or abroad.
