Barosky De Runtinz - Meho Aba Asem
Barosky De Runtinz – Meho Aba Asem

After a lengthy hiatus, Hiplife’s Barosky de Runtinz is back with a new solo record. Known for collaborations with heavyweights such as Ofori Amponsah, Barosky delivers this banger right in time for the summer.
‘Meho Aba Asem’ which translates to ”Trouble has found me”, explores the issue of handling trouble when it arises. Reminiscent of the early 2000s sound, King Ford D’Genral takes credit for the bouncy production. Barosky, effortlesy sings over the beat, with his aggressive and melodic style shining through on the song.
Barosky weaved his way into the hearts of most Ghanaians after the back-to-back release of Kofi Nti’s ‘Rakia’ and Ofori Amponsah’s ‘Otoolege’, among others. He was featured on both hit songs where he dropped his dancehall/raglife signature.
Known in his private life as Isaac Obeng Mensah, Barosky realized his music talent at the Golden Six College, a technical school at Laterbiokoshie where he was the assistant entertainment prefect. In time, he trained in sound engineering under Appietus from 2002 to 2004, going on to work with him as an assistant engineer and breaking off later on to feature on Kofi Nti’s maiden album, ”Rakia”.
He released his 10-track album ”Okyerewaa Ba” in 2007, which enjoyed a decent amount of airplay. He has featured on the works of various artists such as Ofori Amponsah, Kofi Nti, KK Fosu, Richie Rich and also Sidney’s ‘Scent No’.
