Award-winning disc jockey, D.J Champagne is about to do the unimaginable act ever in the country. The YFM DJ will release a new mixtape on Tuesday October 1 titled ‘Smirnoff & Guinness Riddim’ which is aimed at promoting Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall artistes on the international level.
In an interview with Zionfelix.com on his new mixtape, James Opoku a.k.a DJ Champagne said
‘We are pushing Ghanaian artistes to the international scene. When you get to Jamaica, one instrumental is produced for many artistes to record their versions on it. An example I can give is Istanbul Riddim not forgetting Gyptian’s ‘Hold Yuh’ Riddim. Lots of artistes recorded their versions of this track which made a worldwide hit song. This is what I have done and will release it on Tuesday. Over fifteen artistes have recorded their version of this ‘Smirnoff and Guinness Riddim’ and I have compiled them for my new mixtape’.
