Ghanaian Gospel artiste Perez Musik– currently promoting his single ‘Blema Tessa’ shared his opinion about Gospel artistes feeling disappointed in churches in Ghana because they’re not supporting them.
In an exclusive interview with Perez Musik by LEVIN LARTEY, this is what he had to say:
“The Pastor is not responsible for growing our ministry as an artiste but the God who called us to do His work is; God who gives talents has helpers in place to support us.
We should stop blaming and comparing our individual Churches to others in terms of the growth in our ministry. Our pastors can play a pivotal role in our ministry but they are men like us. Comparing them to other Pastor’s as well as giving reference to other Men Of God (such as Pastor Chris of Christ Embassy helping Sinach and co.)is an error on our side. We should focus on the God who knew us before we were formed in our mothers’ womb and what He has called us for.”
Perez went on to say that, Gospel artistes must know the power in consistent praying and studying of the Word of God.
He continued that, love and keeping a high level of purity keeps us in the presence of God and helps us grow but not depending on people and getting disappointed (as if our God is not able). For God knows it all: He knows where to direct us and how He would want to use us to glorify His name.
