As part of the commemoration of 400 years since slavery began, Ghana is hosting a series of events dubbed ‘The Year of Return’, with the likes of Steve Harvey, Boris Kodjoe, Naomi Campbell, T.I. Cardi B among others has already paid a visit, Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter will be visiting Ghana in December 2019 as part of plans for the country’s Year of Return as well.
However, the information revealed that Beyonce will not be performing as she is here for an event as part of the invited guests for the 2019 Essence Full Circle Festival which was launched in September 2019 and a short tour with her family.
This will be Beyonce’s first time in Ghana even though she has related to Ghana and Ghanaians in several ways, when she featured popular dancehall musician Shatta Wale and UK-based Ghanaian producer Guilty Beats who made beats for the superstar on her ‘The Lion King’ album.
As part of Mrs Knowles-Carter coming to Ghana, it’s been alleged that some floors at the luxurious Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra have been reserved with changes made to earlier bookings.
Considering the security measures in relation to Cardi B’s visit to Ghana over the weekend, Beyonce’s security detail will be a very difficult one to get through to meet the musician.
However, there will be private meetings and parties for invited guests to interact with Queen B. She is also expected to make a trip to the Cape Coast Castle and have some meetings at the Presidency.
