“It’s JMJ Baby” is the signature of Ghanaian music producer and CEO of Xtra Large Music. Joshua Raphaelson being the government name, the producer is well experiences in the music business, making the best of input for production with artistes such as Obrafour, 2Ras, Kaakie, Samini and many others.
JMJ showered praises on Ghanaian songwriters who played a part in the success of Kaakie’s “Kaakitup” album. He made this post via his Facebook platform, “Better late than never. An opportunity to once again thank all who contributed in every big or small way. Love and support. I ask the energies repay y’all with double energy” with which he attached the artwork of the album as well.
The album cover showed the track list of 20 songs and it gave credit to all the writers for every single song. Worth noting are names such as Edem, Samini, Stonebwoy, Linguakat, Klem, Black, Wutah Kobby and many others. This whole list put to bed the confusion which has been ongoing via social media about only one person being purported to be the main and only writer for Kaakie during her period under JMJ’s Xtra Large Music. Social media commentators lit up the flame of the conversation and they have been so many unprintable words being mentioned which don’t paint a good image on any brand.
Kaakie parted ways with the label in 2017. The last project from JMJ was the Riddim of the Gods project which had versions from different genres. We are hoping to hear another project from him soon and we will keep you updated.
