Stephen Kankam Acheampong, stage name, Kankam, is a spirited Ghanaian Afro-beat/Highlife singer, who has come to reinvent our local traditional music in a modernised form that will thrill Africa and the world at large. At the age of eleven he was conferred the name, “Martyrs’ Michael Jackson”, because of his singing and silky dance moves.
In effort to put to bare his revering talent, Kankam has turned Shatta Wale’s hit song “Mahama paper” into a Love song by rendering an acoustic version of it.
Kankam is signed on by Aboriginal Music, a record label that is working with him to propel his brand into the lime light.
