Over the weekend, a section of the Ghanaian media had the privilege of listening to the new collaboration between Becca and Trigmatic which is titled “Lover and Friend”. This tune will be released on the airwaves soon.
Just as the popular saying goes, there is likely to be a deadly collision when two giants meet and same is what has happened on an all new carefully composed joint “Lover and Friend”.
Jointly written by award winning soul singer Becca and singer, rapper and poet Trigmatic, the song is easy to relate to as it tells the story of daily experiences people go through as friends and lovers.
Speaking at the listening session, Becca and Trigmatic who looked somehow coupled up disclosed working together always came easier than anyone thought as they have been friends for a very long time.
“We have been friends for a very long time, we attend church at times together, pray together. We all know some of our family members etc”, Becca said.
Genius Selection, producer for the new single also disclosed it was quite easy working with both artists as they all looked out for perfection.
This is not the first time both artists have worked on a song together as their first single “Push” was an instant hit.
The colorful but short session happened at the +233 Jazz Bar in Accra and had positive reviews from majority of the press present.
Audio for “Lover and Friend” drops on the 5th of April 2015 followed by a music video.
