Lydia Cleland is Ghana’s latest gospel sensation,having turned heads with her debut single Fa mekra sie,in 2017’s last quarter.
The takoradi – born singer started singing since 2005 but several setbacks delayed her music career. It turned out that the trails set the single but mother of one on her way to musical greatness.
Lydia Cleland represent this phase of her life,which also defined her calling excellently, as she preaches endurance, patience and faith in spite of trails and difficulties through the lyrics of her latest song.
Fa mekra sie, Lydia ‘s debut song, is also dedicated to the memory of her late grandmother who inspired the woman she has grown to become. Musically, the works of Sonny Badu, Joe Mettle, Ohemaa Mercy, and Nathaniel Bassey have most imparted her.
Outside the music industry, Miss Cleland is as well a sophomore at the Perez University’s Winneba campus, an author and the CEO of Lydia Cleland Foundation, the foundation – Non profitable organisation (NGO) assist vulnerable and needy female teens into apprenticeship to reduce teenage pregnancies and poverty in rural communities.
She aspires to use music – her first love to transform her generation and draw them closer to the knowledge and saving grace of God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
