Caranza Naa Okailey Shooter, winner of the 2012 Miss Ghana beauty pageant and member of the Royalhouse Students and Associates (ROSA), a campus fellowship of the Royal House Chapel International church, was given a rousing welcome when she joined other royals in church last week.

Naa, as she is known by her friends in the youth ministry of the church, attended the service with her family to show their appreciation to God for his guidance during the competition, and also to thank the Apostle General, Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah and the church for their support during the pageant.

She recounted how she used the Bible verse Psalm 121: as her words of encouragement throughout the pageant and thus urged the youth to serve God and be focused on whatever they find their hands doing.

“My Prayer was that; God let your purpose for me in this competition be accomplished,” the newly crowned Miss Ghana said when she addressed the congregation.

Welcoming the beauty queen, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, thanked God for her life and requested that she joins the compassion ministry wing of the church that organizes outreach programmes in deprived areas of the country.

In a sermon titled “Holy Spirit: The Living Water”, the Reverend Minister said when Jesus talks about living water; He is not referring to natural water but the outpouring of Holy Spirit in a believer’s life.

“Let us therefore remove all impediments in our lives that hinder the free flow of the living water of the Holy Spirit because there is nothing we can successfully do without the Holy Spirit,” he said.
