3 Music Awards Emerging Artist Nominee NaaNa Blu, was the Health Prefect during her secondary school days at Shama Senior High School(SHASS) according to a source in the school.

NaaNa Blu who has warmed herself into the Ghanaian Music Industry with her silky vocals in just over a year has confirmed this.

The Sugar Cane singer studied General Arts at SHASS and was a boarder. She was also a member of the school’s Cadet.

“I started out as a day student at SHASS and then went to the boarding house from my second year.” NaaNa Blu explained

NaaNa Blu was part of the experimental 4 year senior high school education program introduced by President John Agyekum Kuffour which was later reverted to 3 years by the Late President John Atta Mills

Born and raised in Shama in the Western Region of Ghana, Abigail Mensah who writes and records as NaaNa Blu under the Quophimens Musiq found passion for music at a very young age.

“ I realised she could sing when she performed, I think, one of Efya’s songs during the school’s 20th anniversary. Everyone was wowed by her stunning performance at the time,” a school mate disclosed.
