A total of 22 categories and 110 nominees were rolled out to be included in the 2012 award scheme. According to Yaw Debrah, CEO of Edge Media Group, over 500 active consumers of the nightlife industry in Accra were contacted to select the said nominees. He said, “From an initial list of 20 nominees per category, the list was well screened down to five nominees per category.

The main event is scheduled to take place on the 26^th of January 2012 at the Event Haven inside the Accra Trade Fair Centre formerly called Plaice.
