Peter Leahy, formerly known to music enthusiasts as Young Dapper, is a fast-rising emerging artist with budding reputations in the Ghanaian music circles. Known by his real name, Peter Leahy, he decided to run his own independent music business, running his own label Cream De La Kush Records and not signing onto a major label.

After his feature with Kelvyn Boy, one of the finest in Ghana in the Afrobeat genre, Leahy developed an interest in the Ghanaian music industry.
He explained that the successful collaboration inspired him to come and explore more opportunities here in Ghana.
He divulged that the move to use the Ghanaian music market was great in his career, as it opened up his musical abilities and reach. Among his notable works are the two songs he did with Rachel Rose, wedding dress designer, globally renowned for her great work and had also made a name in music.

Collaborations such as “Rachel Rose” and “Energy” result from Leahy’s versatility and ability to meld different artistic influences into one piece.
Another standout single in his discography is “Something About Her”, which has over 70,000 streams on Spotify alone. This only fuels his growing reputation as a rising star.
He also collaborated with Kelvyn Boy on the track “Reloaded”, which added up to his growing list of successful projects.
After the release, “Reloaded” made it to iTunes’ top 10 songs in September 2023.
His next release with the Ghanaian music duo Keche is highly awaited and is believed to make waves as soon as it hits the streets.
He has further hinted that this will be followed by collaborations with some of the top artists of the country, promising a series of tracks that are sure to get one grooving.
He made these plans known after he visited Ghana in May 2024 for a media tour on various networks after meeting with some key stakeholders in the music business to learn a thing or two.

He is set to excite fans at the Aussie Pub and Lounge in Swedru on New Year’s Eve, which is part of his appearance in the country.
Aside from that, he expects to make a massive return to Ghana and have a big tour; he also hopes to link up with other artists across the borders of Africa to seal his spot in the music industry.
