E.L has spun a truly versatile, yet amazing catalogue of music for a decade and counting. His presence and contribution to modern Ghanaian music is undisputed, even in terms of production. True music fans know he’s a Man of the People, doing best to match the vast musical preferences of fans.
During a Skype interview with MzGee on TV3’s ”New Day” yesterday April 24, 2020, E.L revealed how his next wave of music wouldn’t just be for anybody, expressing; ”I’m just in a class of my own. I’m not for everybody. I don’t want to be for everybody”. He went on to comment ”I don’t want to be a mass production artist and be in everybody’s top five. I want to be in the top five of people who matter and they are not many”.
The act went on to comment on a recurring tag Hip-Hop/Rap fans might be super fond of, namely the ”King of Rap” moniker. E.L expressed; ”Nobody has to die. Let’s just calm down, nobody has to die for anything to happen. We are supposed to be making music and there is no competition in music. Music is supposed to be uplifting, it’s supposed to affect your emotions. But with the other things that come with it? That is why I don’t really like to take part in all the extra stuff”.
When it came to speaking about competitiveness among artists, the ‘Efa Wo Ho Ben’ hitmaker was of the view that only competitiveness that lead to a positive growth and development for involved parties were to be encouraged.
E.L recently shared the video for his well-received single ‘Efa Wo Ho Ben’ which received massive applause from fans, media and entertainment practitioners. Get a feel of it here.

Ghanaian Urban Gospel sensation, Priscilla Otumfuo, has released yet another hit single after a long wait for the 2020 music year. After winning the hearts of Ghanaians with her chart-topping smash single ‘worthy is the lamp’ last year, Priscilla is out again with another spirit-filled song titled wave.
Wave, a worship song that proffers the holiness of God promises to be another reason why the gospel fraternity keeps dominating despite the aggressiveness of the devil in these end times. It calls the attention of God and his spirit to fill and manifest in the lives of every believer.
With her amazing voice and composition skills, Priscilla, as confessed by music professionals, is an outstanding artist who focuses on her craft and knows the rudiments of her profession. Ghanaian rapper Kula has finally released the video for his single featuring Medikal titled Meye Yie.
Kula uses the video to inspire street hawkers and upcoming musicians to never give up, as there is always a breakthrough close by.
In the music video, Kula plays the role of a street hawker selling FoodTech Ltd.’s “No.8 Snacks” in traffic. He meets a man who’s car is broken down by the road and helps him get the car started. In appreciation, the man buys some of the No.8 Snacks and asks Kula to keep the change. Kula then gives tbe man his Demo CD and introduces himself as a budding artiste alongside the street hustle.
The man takes a listen to the songs on the CD and loves Kula’s vibe. The next day, he comes back to the same place he met Kula and commends with for such great music while gifting him some cash to ho record in a professional studio. With the financial support, Kula now goes to a professional studio, records Meye Yie and gets excited over a twitter message he received from Medikal saying he will do a verse for the song. They then go ahead and shoot a video for the song as Medikal performs his part.
6Months Later, Kula meets his helper who has obviously upgraded in status since they last met in traffic. He is now driving a finer car and Kula also shares in the glory: pulling up in his own car as he showers praises on his helper.
Video directed by 3CUBES x DABAKER’S SON whiles production credit goes to Timmy with support and placement by FoodTech Ltd., producers of No.8 Snacks.

3Media Networks, organizers of the 3Music Awards today announced that this year’s main event will now be held virtually on April 24.
The announcement comes weeks after it decided to postpone its originally-scheduled date due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
With Ghana’s public gathering ban still in force, the new date will see only a core team of production hands and performers staging the show to a global audience.
The event will come live from a location in Ghana’s capital, Accra, to audiences on Joy Prime, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and Joy Prime TV as well as partner web platforms.
“In the past few weeks following the postponement of our annual event and the Fan Festival, we have been brainstorming and exploring possible ways of making the event happen if the situation persists,” says Sadiq Abdulai Abu, CEO, 3Media Networks.
“Given the current lockdown and the fact we are dealing with a fluid situation with no certain end in sight, the team has had to consider one of the options we brainstormed about to ensure that deserving winners for 3Music Awards 2020 are announced as well as wrap our timelines for 2019/2020 and begin preparing for next year.”
The event will feature only three physical performance blocks while others will come through virtually.
3Media Networks say proceeds realized from the final week of voting will be donated to Ghana’s efforts at fighting the COVID-19 outbreak.
Prior to the earlier postponement, the scheme held a successful nominees announcement night attended by leading industry heads. The event was followed by the highly successful 3Music Women’s Brunch, which brought together leading figures in the arts, creative and entertainment industry for a day’s thought leadership and honoring session.
