Ghanaian recording music artiste and Fixed Star Music’s most promising artist, Y Blaq has released a new track he calls ‘Feeling Nu’ under the multi-million dollar label.
Feeling Nu was produced by Abe Beatz. The ‘Liquor’ and ‘Gimme That’ hitmaker has been working on collaborations with some top Ghanaian and African acts in anticipation of his album.
Feeling Nu talks about how an unknown stunning lady gives him so much excitement when he gets when in contact with her I he refers it as a very spiritual feeling.
It also talks about how independent the lady is because she doesn’t demand any financial aid from him.

THE ASANTEHENE, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II 20 years anniversary on the ascension of the sacred Golden Stool of the Asante Kingdom, was climaxed with an unforgettable ‘Executive Dinner Ball and Investment Forum’ at the Manhyia Palace and Golden Tulip in Kumasi, respectively.

One of Ghana’s fast-rising afrobeats stars, Ama Nova has announced her presence with the official music video for her debut single, titled “Decisions”.
The mid-tempo afrobeats jam produced by Tombeatz sheds light on the need to put the future in mind when making decisions today.
“Decisions” is accompanied by a colourful and straightforward storyline that reflects the concept of the song.
The video directed by Eddie Kay Mensah shows the Evolution Records label singer reiterating the need to support one another and chill while conscious.
Legally known as Mercy Nana Ama Sackey, Ama Nova is a 27-year-old go-getting rising star from a family of five who is poised to dominate the industry.
A journalism graduate and a Winneba-native, she was inspired by friends, Dr Ray Beatz, Joe Wizzy, Kento Gh, and her brother Randy.
She is an experimental artiste who explores different genres but wants to stick to afrobeats and highlife music for now.

“Somtin” is a song about the African woman, her beauty and voluptuous body. Produced by MorningStar, the afrobeats/highlife track was written in Twi, Pidgin and English by Ghanaian artist Paa Kwasi and Cameroonian rapper/producer Melcube.
In the single the artists express their love for the African woman, her beauty, body and swag. They both express that she has got “Somtin” they are ready to spend the rest of their lives with, protect and die for on a high tempo beat that is sure to have you on your feet and dancing.
Released under the Cameroonian label Mic Maniacs Music Group, “Somtin” is the first official single off the upcoming album from the artist Melcube who also doubles as the producer “MorningStar”
Kyei leaves Dark Suburb, re-brands as an afro singer and instrumentalist
The Vodafone Ghana Music Award Unsung acts Dark Suburb over the years since their existence in 2015 has proven why they are tagged Ghana’s first Alternative Rock Band. The group who was popularly known as the “skeletons” was described by BBC as “the Ghanaian Rock group causing a stir in Accra”, was also nominated for the Album of the Year with their debut album in the 2017 AFRIMA. We currently can’t tell the dormancy of the group but here comes Kyei, a guitarist and producer of the group.
Kyei who was born as Ebenezer Kyei Mensah is a singer, producer and a multi-instrumentalist who majors with the guitar. He started the Afroharmony band as a music director, composer, arranger and a guitarist before handing it over to help set up Dark Suburb, a 6-member group consisting of a lead singer, guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboardist and chief priest in 2015.
As a producer, Kyei produced all the song on Dark Suburb’s AFRIMMA Nominated Album titled “The Start Looks Like The End” which featured the likes of Edem, Wiyaala, E.L and Black Snake Mona from the United States.
Kyei is an Afro-rock, Afro-pop and Afro-soul singer who describes himself as an experimental musician. He is set to release his first single “Gimme One Night” as a solo artist soon with production from himself under the YNF Records.

Auzy Media imprint signee Lord Paper has kick-started the year with his first visual for “Dzigbordi”.
Directed by Oskhari Films, the classy and blistering visual for the song produced by Nebu Beats tackles one of the most important issues in Africa – cross-cultural marriage.
Despite international interventions and all measures put in place by governments to stop the discrimination against people of different cultural backgrounds, the issue hasn’t been resolved.
To add efforts, Lord Paper creates a perfect picture of the issue and somehow provides one big solution – love.
He believes love concurs all and that if young people are allowed to choose their partners without discrimination from family and friends, we will progress as people.
The visual walks viewers through a journey of two young lovers who have been blinded by love.
Lord Paper, an Asante, chooses an Ewe woman as his life partner. But due to extreme pressure from his in-laws, he takes his woman to an unknown location where they spend the rest of their lives.
“Ultimately, we all actually belong to one tribe called Humans. Let love lead. #StopTribalism,” Lord Paper said at the end of the video

Former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) and a Board Member of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), Mrs. Diana Hopeson has elevated her intellectual resume by graduating with a Master’s Degree.
The musician and Intellectual Property expert has graduated from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana with a Masters in Philosophy, which ultimately makes her a Counseling Psychologist.
For her thesis, Mrs. Hopeson did research and presented a paper on the ‘Exploration on the Counseling Needs of Performing Artistes in Accra’ – and she attained her marks which culminated in her successful passing of the course.
As a towering figure in the area of Copyright and Intellectual Property, she has also set up a Publishing Company, GHMusic Publishing Company Ltd, with the objectives of establishing and enforcing the subject of publishing in music and other related activities in the entertainment industry in Ghana.
In 2007, she was awarded a National Honors Award by the President of the Republic of Ghana, President John Agyekum Kufuor, for her immense support for the Arts industry.
She also served for four (4) years, as the President of the MUSIGA and was the Chairman of the Interim Management Board of the Copyright Society of Ghana (COSGA) where she was actively involved in policy making and several projects that advanced the course of the music industry in Ghana.
Diana released her debut gospel album, ‘He Is Lord’ in 1991 and went on to release over 10 more albums in a very illustrious span of a music career.
Wiyaala kicked off her European tour at Crookes Social Club in Sheffield, the UK’s “Steel City” with an outrageously energetic performance as a special guest of ONIPA, the electro Afro-fusion band fronted by Ghanaian singer songwriter K.O.G.
Onipa served up a thrilling dance vibe as the Ghanaian artists drove the crowd wild with excitement. After the show, Wiyaala said; “There is nothing like an intimate club gig. It’s hot and sweaty and you’re right up close to the audience. Sheffield rocks! My brother K.O.G and the Onipa band are amazing, watch out for some rocking collabs!”
Later this week Wiyaala is off to Slovenia where she has three back to back shows including the “Africa Day” concert in Prešeren Square, Ljubljana.
Wiyaala, from the Upper West Region, is one of Ghana’s best known international musicians and with three awards is the leading Ghanaian award winner at AFRIMA, the African continent’s biggest awards scheme. In 2018, she was celebrated by the BBC as one of their African women of the year, and endorsed by BET for bringing the Sissala language in song to the world.
Onipa was born out of a deep collaboration between long time friends KOG and Tom Excell, music director, guitarist and writer of acclaimed jazz/ soul afrobeat pioneers Nubiyan Twist.
Onipa means ‘human’ in Akan, the ancient language of the Ashanti people of Ghana.

ancestors to our children, Onipa brings energy, groove, electronics, afrofuturism,
dance and fire!
