Through his startup, Ijanu Limited, he envisions a future where Ghana harnesses its abundant solar energy to power a new wave of sustainable mobility.
Speaking on the Ride and Chat show, the entrepreneur detailed his motivation for founding Ijanu Limited—a name that signifies the harnessing of Africa’s abundant sunlight.
Ijanu Limited focuses on two key areas: building a robust solar-powered EV charging network and developing the infrastructure necessary to maintain and service electric vehicles. The company’s mission is to make sustainable transportation feasible and affordable for everyday Ghanaians based on its regenerative business model. Unlike conventional EV charging stations that rely on grid electricity—which can be unreliable in parts of Africa—Ijanu’s model integrates solar energy, reducing operational costs and ensuring a cleaner, renewable power source.
However, the shift to EVs in Ghana comes with challenges. The country’s vehicle market is predominantly dominated by second-hand gasoline-powered cars imported from Europe, Asia, and the United States. Additionally, concerns about maintenance and accessibility to charging stations have slowed the adoption of electric vehicles. To address this, Ijanu Limited is installing charging stations and providing comprehensive maintenance and support services to ensure a seamless transition for new EV owners.

As the curtain closes on 2024, Ghanaian rapper Bashir Annan, popularly known as Gambo, can finally recline and reflect on the year with a smile. From releasing his highly successful musical project ‘1 More Bullet’ to touring several states in North America, Gambo exceeded expectations, firmly establishing 2024 as his year of musical triumphs and cultural diplomacy. According to Maame Grace, her office is inundated daily with distressed individuals seeking help after experiencing severe repercussions from following the advice of these “quacks.” She cited instances where people reported mental health issues, physical abuse, and aggravated personal problems resulting from rituals or items provided by these spiritualists.
“This is becoming a serious issue,” Maame Grace emphasized. “Many come to my office with problems that have worsened because of these self-centred spiritualists who are only focused on money.
It’s heartbreaking.” Maame Grace, a staunch advocate for spiritual self-discovery, urged Ghanaians to look within for spiritual growth rather than relying on external, exploitative practices. She has dedicated herself to offering a haven and rejuvenation services for victims of these harmful encounters, despite facing backlash and alleged attacks from these groups.
Her decision to speak out publicly follows increasing plots to tarnish her reputation by these quack spiritual leaders. “These individuals exploit desperation for personal gain, leaving victims to deal with severe consequences.
Learn to protect yourself and avoid falling prey,” she advised. Maame Grace called for vigilance and education, encouraging Ghanaians to prioritize their well-being over blind faith in dubious spiritual claims.
