The Ye Wo Krom hitmaker, Atom Reloaded has come out to caution Patapaa over his One Corner tune, which is undoubtedly the most popular song in Ghana at the moment.
According to Atom Reloaded, Patapaa shouldn’t be carried away by the “One Corner” fame because this song will not last forever, and it is only best for him Patapaa if he follows it up with another banger.
Ghanaians are expecting another banger from Patapaa after One Corner and from my “Ye Wo Krom” experience, I know it won’t be that easy for him because looking at the rate at which One Corner is big, getting another follow up hit song will be extremely difficult so he should start working hard towards that satisfaction for Ghanaians or soon, they will reject him. Atom Reloaded stated.
Atom Reloaded believes if care isn’t taken, the song will fade out like other hit songs that were circulating on the streets before “One Corner’s” existence and the name, “Patapaa” will be forgotten, if he feels too comfortable with this fame.
To Atom Reloaded, after Ye Wo Krom became popular, I didn’t get too comfortable with just that so I decided to release other songs with other musicians just to be relevant in the industry. Even after all these efforts, not everyone loves my follow up releases like the way they felt attracted to Ye Wo Krom, but I cant complain, I am still doing my best to stay relevant.
He says,
Even after all the attention, awards and wealth Ye Wo Krom brought, I am still working hard to entertain the world with more of my songs.
Atom Reloaded is currently promoting his new collaboration with multiple award winning Ghanaian musician, Bisa Kdei titled “Asaasewura”. A very danceable song that is currently cooking hot on the streets.
Bisa Kdei on a party starter song as usual gave it a commercial delivery and the uniqueness of his voice spiced “Asaasewura” up.
But wait, is Atom Reloaded right about Ghanaians rejecting “One Corner” soon?

Australia-based rising Ghanaian Afro-Gospel musician, J A Y is out with a new Gospel jam titled “I’m A Soldier”.
The mid-tempo Afro-Gospel record spreads the message of Jesus Christ’s salvation and the need for every Christian to involve in the Gospel business.
According to the CEO of Last Stop Media Production (LST), the concept of “I Am A Soldier”: “isn’t just song slang, it is a song about what I live for, my passion, and compassion for souls.
It was written upon my deep reflection on today’s channel I had, fears, and distractions of the believer.
It is my method of sensitising believers of how knowledge has increased and yet the love of the Gospel of Jesus has a waxing cold.
The song is my motivation for believers (soldiers of Christ) to keep the mandate of spreading the Gospel to all, without fear or favour, but hold on to the name of Jesus (Proverbs 18:10).
The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are saved.”
“I’m A Soldier” was produced by B’cole.
It’s the Kumasi boys doing this one here and Cabum calls on SarkCess Music signed act Strongman to features on “Wo Nye Hwii”. Bars on Bars here. Enjoy.

Some musicians in Ghana are still not convinced by Obuor’s account of how the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) used the GH¢ 2 million given to the music industry 5 years ago.
Music duo Gallaxy who are not satisfied with accounts made by MUSIGA President Bice ‘Obuor’ Osei Kuffuor, told Citi Showbiz that the President should publish a breakdown of how the money was spent.
“We doubt his figures. How can you use GH¢ 800, 000 for research, another GH¢ 800, 000 for music festival, and share the remaining for your administration? They should give us the breakdown. We want to know. They should publish it in the media for us to see,” they said.
Gallaxy added MUSIGA has disappointed the music industry by using the government fund for things that were not the industry’s priority.
“We have a lot of pressing needs like performance centres, studios and others. They have just wasted the money and must account for it into detail. They must account for every pesewa,” they noted.
Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview with Citi Showbiz, the President of the Musicians Union of Ghana explained that the union used the budget allocation judiciously.
According to him, the government granted only two of the components they presented in their proposal and so could not have used the money for all the other things the musicians are suggesting.
“…after reading through our proposal, the government said it could only grant two of our requests and those components were what the 2012 budget statement for the arts captured,” he said.
Obour further explained the GH¢ 2 million was earmarked for impact assessment of the music industry and the 2012 Music Fair, as was captured in the 2012 budget statement.
According to Obour, about GH¢ 800,000 used to pay for the research and its execution (eg. Paying research consultants) and GH¢ 800, 000 was also used for the Music Fair. About GH¢ 400, 000 was used for Institutional Strengthening and GH¢ 100, 000 was given to the Ghana Association of Phonographic Industries for their administration needs.
He said the results of the research has benefited the industry in diverse ways and is hopeful its long-term effects would manifest with the passage of time.
The GH¢ 2 million was given to the music sector in 2012 as part of government allocation in its fiscal budget.
Gallaxy, noted for hit songs like ‘Bokoboko,’ ‘Qualities,’ ‘Dab,’ ‘Gborgborvor,’ ‘Holla at Me’ and Woti Ate which takes a swipe at the MUSIGA President.
