Running into the 3rd year, “Keta To The World Concert” promises to be nothing short of excitement and unforgettable moments just as it happened with the previous editions.
Keeny Ice, Mawuli Younggod, Selorm Ameza, Kay Stun have been officially announced by the Concert Headliner, Omo Marani, as major guest artistes joining the street carnival.
This year, Team CollinWud officially partners with Events 21 to co-produce the concert, come Friday, November 1, 2024. The event is scheduled to happen at the very same spot it was held for the past 2 editions — on the streets at the forefront of the Keta Post Office. Time for start of concert is tagged at 6:00pm prompt.
CollinWud is a fast-rising Ghanaian Music Clique with about 10 artistes co-signed to it, having Omo Marani as the lead face of the Team. Single-handedly as one unit, they have pre-financed the event for the past editions including this one; a platform they have designed to highlight themselves as very unique music crooners from Southern Volta working their way to mainstream. Unlike other artistes who probably would hit mainstream before doing their headline concerts, Team CollinWud have taken a daring stance to rather start from the ebb before the world knows them, so by the time the music concert levels up to the top tier Festivals it would have been an entire household event across Africa and beyond.
With the partnership with Events 21, headed by Elorm Beenie as their Team Lead, revellers are very confident this year’s edition will be an upgrade of the previous editions, in terms of production and coordination.
“I’m very proud of CollinWud for what they are doing. Putting up an event in Ghana is not a child’s play, it’s capital intensive and to see these guys empty their pockets every year to do this is quite plausible and need to be commended and also sponsored so they can do more”, Elorm Beenie intimated.
Corzzy Blaque, Mediq Mane, Tungbani, El Jolali, Jah Throne, Vimboss Bakteria, Hans Bekx, Konkarah Jahvybz, Rizzlah Stylah, Selorm Ameza, Prinz Xtra, are some of the other artistes listed to perform on the night with more to be announced and with some surprise performances.
MCee Flexal, Martin Rouny, DJ Cyril, Hypeman Darren Flex, and many others will run the stage as MCs and Jocks through out.

Akesse Brempong, a budding scholar, lecturer in the Department of Communication at Pentecost University in Ghana, and celebrated gospel musician, presented his insightful paper, “Macho Adverts: Constructing Hyper-masculinity in Ghanaian Alcoholic Beverage Advertisements,” at the IAFOR MediAsia Conference in Kyoto, Japan. Known for his dynamic presence both in music and academia, Akesse Brempong brought fresh insights into the cultural impact of advertising.
In his research, Akesse Brempong examined how alcohol advertisements in Ghana often employ hyper-masculine themes which depict men as powerful, thrill-seeking, and sexually dominant in a way as to appeal to male audiences. Using thematic analysis alongside tools such as the Hypermasculinity Inventory (HMI), he highlighted how these narratives, while commercially appealing, may inadvertently reinforce restrictive societal norms. Akesse Brempong advocates for a shift towards inclusive advertising that celebrates broader representations of masculinity.
By bringing both academic rigour and artistic sensitivity to the topic, Brempong’s presentation underscored MediAsia’s goal of fostering interdisciplinary dialogue. His dual roles as a lecturer and musician uniquely positioned him to shed light on how media shapes cultural ideals, particularly concerning gender norms in Ghanaian society .

In line with her new purpose and calling, singer Irene Logan says she now wants to be identified as Grace Osei.
“I was born Irene Elizabeth Grace Logan. My entire life story and journey has been a journey of faith and grace. Nothing else made more sense than to fully embrace that name. For me, Grace is a strong statement and a personal declaration of faith”.
Reflecting on switching from secular music to gospel, the singer explained that “the shift was not difficult for me. I have always felt the call to spread the gospel, so the decision to leave the ‘world’ behind was more of a natural progression.
“I’ve always had that within me. The moment I decided to step fully into the gospel, it didn’t feel difficult at all. It was just like coming home,” she revealed.
As for balancing her thriving career in music with her personal life, she held that with clear understanding and communication, it is not as challenging as many might assume.
“Love and career are not difficult to balance at all. Once you know your role in the two, there will be no problem at all. As a Christian woman, I understand depending on the Holy Spirit to guide me in all things is wisdom.
“My husband and I minister together all the time. He is a solid teacher of the word of God and we are both ministers of the gospel. So, yes, sometimes, we minister together. I sing and he preaches. Christ is our foundation.
“Also, we practice good communication and patience with one another. There is mutual respect and love for each other. We are very happy and blessed,” she added.
