Followers of the Chicago based Ghanaian rapper, Reezon have had a lot to be excited about over the last six weeks. First was a release of a club banger titled #weekend which featured Tanzanian rapper king Wakazi and witty Nigerian singer Chibbz.
Barely a fourth night later, the rapper releases a remix version of Diamonds’ a hit song by Rihanna. Sources close to the rapper say he is on a mission to “feed his fans’ with more music.
In a related development, there have been rumours circulating another single from the artist but this time will be featuring C-real whose new album is doing well since its release late last year and has a new video called Hewale’ driving up a big buzz right at the start of the year.
The rapper did not deny the rumour when contacted at Mix down studios in Accra. He however confirmed that he had been in contact with Reezon as they were friends and shared a common goal to continually contribute to the growth and expansion of African hip hop.
A source close to the rapper hinted as that a release date of 1st February would be just for the track, which he titled Real Reason’. And also indicated that it was a wise move to follow the #RealReason hash tag as the rappers are utilising a different approach to the launch and were actually having fun with subliminal’ tweets.
