Ghanaian reggae superstar, Rocky Dawuni has been flying the flag of Ghana high all over the world when he released his “Branches of The Same Tree” album. he was making waves all over and he received an endorsement from the President of Ghana as well.
His good works has been noticed as he has received a nomination for the Grammy Awards which is slated for February 2016. The musician who lives in Los Angeles was nominated for the “Best Reggae Album” category with his new album.
He is competing for the “Best Reggae Album” with musicians like Luciano, Barrington Levy, Jah Cure and Morgan Heritage. Rocky Dawuni’s nomination at the 58th Grammy’s makes him the first Ghanaian to be nominated at the event organised by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the music industry.
Other nominees at this year’s award are Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Drake and many other popular musicians across the world.
