Following the success of her hit debut Afrobeat bangers, True Love and Superstar in 2018, up and coming Ghanaian-Canadian songstress Salamatu Djenne is back again with a brand new music video for her latest heart-felt single Real.

Produced by Dr. Ray Beat and featuring a sweetly enthusiastic cameo from Dr. Mo, the track ‘Real’ sees the light at the end of the tunnel, as Salamatu joyously details every good girl’s dream after heartbreak — finding real love.

In the video, directed by GHCali and filmed at various locations in Toronto, Canada we see Salamatu caught in a love triangle that leaves her questioning her past lover’s true colors. But after having the revelation and strength to walk away, there waiting with open arms is a new and better love than she ever could imagine. The uplifting track and video shows that more than anything, when it comes to matters of the heart, the best revenge is knowing your worth, living well and being happy and waiting for the real thing to come along—and it will.

The video for Real has already garnered nearly 10,000 views on YouTube since its release this week and fan acclaim across the pond, with premieres on West Africa’s Lagos TV and international urban music network MTV Base. Check out Salamatu Djenne’s new music video for Real here !
