About a week ago, rapper Sarkodie released a cypher-themed video titled ‘Trumpet’ featuring TeePhlow, Medikal, Strongman, Koo Ntakra, Donzy and Pappy Kojo.

Questions were asked on why Kofi Kinaata didn’t feature on the song. In an interview on METRO TV Tuesday, Sarkodie explained why Kinaata didn’t make it on the song.

“With Kofi Kinaata, we’ve talked about doing something together. Actually, his manager and I talked and it’s just that we are not getting the right time. So yes, with the right time and a good record, certainly the fans should expect something from us soon, the fans should just keep their fingers crossed.”

He also spoke about why he didn’t rap on the song and just appeared in the video.

“I didn’t rap because I thought the song will be too long. Even without me rapping, it’s more than 8 minutes and as well I just wanted people to know about the great talents we have here in Ghana. It’s not all about Sarkodie everyday, the people outside have to also hear about the great acts we have down here too.”

He is headlining his annual music concert ‘RapperHolic‘ on December 25, 2016 at the Accra International Conference Center. Shatta Wale, R2bees, Edem, StrongMan, Efya and Flowking Stone are some of the artistes expected to support him on the night.
