Last night inside Skyview at Lekki Coliseum (NIGERIA) was a glorious memorable night for Abbey Music Records, the label’s prime artiste, SCATA BADA, won the “Best New Dancehall Artiste of the Year” plaque at the then ongoing award scheme: Ghana Naija Showbiz Awards 2017.
Ghana Naija Showbiz Awards, an entertainment honorary program that seeks to honour hardworking Ghanaian and Nigerian talents.
Scata Bada was nominated among Ebony, Epixode, Rudebwoy Ranking and Eye Judah, all his co-country contestants — Ghanaians. Aside Ghanaians, no Nigerian was nominated in the “Best New Dancehall Artiste of the Year” category.
Despite leading his category with the highest vote count, Scata Bada put in a remarkable smart hardwork the entire voting period — two of these major opportune activities being a string of multiple radio and TV interviews and a daily intense vote campaign that opened Scata Bada to a wider public recognition which rapidly translated into his highest vote count put in by both old and new Baddest Empire fans.
Scata Bada had a performance slot at the event night and his set was adjudged one of the best performances at Skyview, Lekki Coliseum.
Presently, Scata Bada is in Nigeria. He is set to continue his paused nationwide radio tour back home in Ghana a few days after arrival.
Prior to his movement to Nigeria for the award, Scata Bada had done a very successful massive radio tour in Taadi, the busiest entertainment city in the coastal south of Ghana.
