Zimbabwe’s very own Nikcy, Chicago based Song engineer Mobeatz, Guilty Beatz and award winning producer Possigee from Ghana produced the 7 songs on the Mixtape.
No wonder “You know” the favorite track on the Mixtape with over thousands of views is the one on the lips of many fans in the States.
The “My Girl” hit maker since the release of his latest Mixtape has been on shows in 15 States in the U.S and Canada.
The Kumasi born has been approached by top record labels and produces in Chicago for his signature but according to Jah he will only pen the dotted lines when the right time comes.
The fast rising musician claims the Ghana music industry is surging and his tunes and records with top produces and engineers will make the differences when he releases his album later next year.
Kwame Asante Ababio moved to the States at a tender age, and after listening to records from Mosses OJ, Samini, Kwadee, Wyclef, Damien Marley, Buju Banton and Lucky Dube his inspiration and affection for music grew.
“The records from these great artist had an impact on my upbringing right from my school days in Ghana, but I became more into the music when I migrated to the United States.
“Music is dynamic and I don’t really call myself a dancehall artist though what I do now is dancehall.
“People categorize me as a dancehall artist and I take it as it is, but when the Mixtape dropped the same people are of the opinion that the Mixtape has a mixture of different genres.
“I do music not just for the fun of it, but I do music to inspire and motivate people in this cruel life that we live in.
Jah-Shanti Mixtape is out in America and it’s about to embark on a promotional tour upcoming days.
The 7 songs on the Mixtape is ready for the market not only for his numerous fans in the United States but his home country Ghana.
Asked if he is ready to do any collaboration with giants Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy the Chicago based artist stated that “if the opportunity present itself that will be awesome but he is not in contact with any of them to do any record as at now”. “Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are not competition, i see them as superstars who are trying as much as possible to put the name of Ghana on the International level. Like what I have been doing since the release of my record, putting Ghana out there for other people to know.
Jah is indeed about to take the music industry to a different new level when he releases his album later next year.
