Sarkodie raises eyebrows once again with the new freestyle video he titled ‘Icon’. Looks like Sarkodie is preparing us for a full rap session and with this freestyle, we believe whatever the end plan is, will get pretty ugly when it’s all set for unleashing. Swag combines with attitude and graced with piercing rap lines.
Sarkodie is undoubtedly the most recognized rap artist in Ghana and definitely has the mass appeal. When he releases freestyles like this, we’re forced to believe they are jabs to some rappers and not just the usual demonstration of lyrical prowess, but addressing a pressing issue. We think someone or some people stepped on his toes again.
Why we say this is because there is one line he keeps repeating in most of his freestyle rap and even in some of the hard rap songs. The line that says he ignores phone calls from some people or a particular person. Sounds like a Cliche but when it’s a repetitive line, it becomes a factor or something he’s trying to prove.
Sarkodie’s attitude behind the flow is something we all root for and he does it so simple you might think rap isn’t anything hard. In the freestyle, Sarkodie said if it wasn’t because he’s in the game, about 4 or 5 rappers won’t even exist.
