Art is one of the best way to show the culture and heritage of our culture. Over the weekend Accra Dot Alt organized it’s annual Chale Wote Street Art Festival and this event took place at James Town in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. It’s was a road block event which had over 200 Ghana-based and international participants ranging from visual arts, photography, music, dance, spoken word, film, theater, extreme sports and many more.
This years theme was Death : An Eternal Dream Into Limitless Rebirth. We went on our journey with our photographer Kweku Wilson (Kwaku Wilson Photography), we had the chance to take a few pictures of what really happened during the day and it was a wonderful experience.
This was the 4th time such an event has occurred and with the rich experience from Accra Dot Alt on most of events they organized this one was also be projected to be a success and in the end it really happened.
On the final Sunday, many artiste took stage to perform and the likes of Wanlov De Kubolor, Dex Kwasi, Lyrical Wanzam were there to rock fans as well. You might have missed this one but no worries, next year is another opportunity to make plans and be there as it’s an event organized in August.
