True to form, Close Up is on a mission to ‘Break Barrier’ and in no small way than to help up and coming artistes shine and share their jams with the over 10,000 patrons who trooped to Kokrobite over the weekend. Tidal Rave, which has graduated from a day’s affair into a 3-day festival this year has over the past 8 years seen performances from the crème de la crème of Ghanaian music as well as acting as a springboard for up and coming artistes to announcing themselves.

In its 8th year, Close Up plugged into the theme as the 8th Wonder by selecting 8 artistes including Lycon, Swagmonnie, and Mister Oscar to perform on the second day of the festival. Led by the VGMA Unsung Artistes of the Year, Kula, the artistes took turns to jam, and have the crowd sing along to their tunes.

As people played video and other board games, cocktails along with small chops were being served to all those who passed through the lounge. With more and more passing through the lounge and experiencing the ‘Shake Boomerang Box’ for the first time, those who could share their ‘action’ videos online also walked away with goodie packs.
