Okyeame Kwame Crowns Felly

It was quite a scene to behold on Saturday night at the Tantra Nightclub, as the rap doctor, Okyeame Kwame stormed the stage to interrupt a performance by Felly, to declare to a massive  crowd that “Felly is the undoubtedly the very best female rapper to emerge on the GH rap scene.”

The unexpected declaration was made during the official revelation party of Lynx Entertainment’s latest act, Felly.

The crowd comprising  party folk, music lovers and music industry players  made for an electrifying atmosphere graced by the numerous industry players including YFM’s Nana Kwame Osei Sarpong, Merqury Quaye, TV Africa’s Nana Addo, Ignis Hego –C.E.O of 4syte TV, Ezekiel Tetteh –C.E.O of Solid Multimedia and many others.

The night was characterized by glitzy décor and glamourous fashion coupled with amazing performances from Felly’s label mates, D3 and Zigi. Felly’s debut music video, “Ghana Girl Swag” was also premiered at the event,

The main highlight of the night though, was Felly’s performance. After being introduced by Lynx Entertainment’s C.E.O, Richie Mensah, the Miss Ghana finalist turned rapper rocked the crowd with a combination an alluring dance moves  and mean punch lines in an engaging freestyle act before jumping into her debut singles, “Ghana Girl Swag” and “Kotohor.”

It was during her performance of the banging hip hop tune “Ghana Girl Swag,” that, a visibly excited and truly enthralled, Okyeame Kwame, stormed the stage and declared, “I have never seen a lady rap like this, she has the swag, she has the lyrics, punchlines on point and she looks good! So tonight, I officially crown you the queen of rap in GH” to rapturous applause from the excited crowd.

Speaking to the media afterwards, the rap doctor, stated that he had heard rumours of Felly’s talent, and actually went to the event in order to find for himself if she could live up to her billing. As it turns out, he was quite positively impressed.
