Known As JRMando, is an Afrobeat duo from Atlanta, GA that consist of two different styles of music and two different types nationalities. JRMando is a combination of 2 names.
Born Derrick Twumasi Jr, also known as JR was born in Asafo, Kumasi Ghana in west region of Africa, Not only has he always had the heart and drive for music, but he wanted to be a student first and watched other Artist like R2BEES, SARKODIE, STONEBWOY, and that is just to name a few of other great artist that he learned from, his unique style comes from 3 different parts of the world, AFRICAN, CARIBBEAN, AND AMERICAN, and he has taken the love of AfroBeat, Reggae, and Hiphop put those together and created something of his own.
Born Tamando Phiri in Lusaka, Zambia, musically known as Mando, is the other half of the group. A singer/songwriter and producer, From Atlanta, GA has been in the Atlanta music industry for quite some time, has worked many great artist not only as a vocalist or songwriter, but as an instrumentalist as well.
The best thing about the two is that they keep a great relationship, they stay on top of things and what may seem like they have a friendship since childhood may come by surprise to many when they find out that they have only known each other for 3 whole months, and the music that have worked on so far has been great, from the looks of things these guys will be here for a very long time.
