Kay-Ara, Trix & Trebla Presents ‘Accra Nyt Life’

Have you ever heard of the phrase “two heads are better than one”? Then I guess you have a bonus when three people with extraordinary powers to turn words into music form a collision to create a masterpiece that lasts forever. Three of the finest upcoming acts in Ghana, namely Kay-Ara (Tha Phoenix), Trix (Misdemeanor) and Trebla of Booth Camp combine their special talents together to spawn a track they have entitled “Accra Nyt Life”.

This song has been scheduled for release on Saturday, 16th February, two days after the release of Trix’s third installment of the trixtape series; Lovers Die Young which I have personally tagged “The Vals Day Grinch Edition” due to its antagonistic title in relation to its release date. It also serves as a prelude to Trebla and Hot Jam’s mixtape which drops later this year called Take it or Leave it.

“Accra Nyt Life” is a song that celebrates the nocturnal activities of the youth in the capital and illustrates the struggles and victories these three artistes pass through in order to make ends meet. We find Trix crooning on the chorus with his silky drake-esque voice, and leaving a little political tinge to the song as he sings “edey bee k3k3” which happened to be the slogan of the NDC in last year’s election.

Kay-Ara after a year’s hiatus, returns to show his lyrical dexterity is nowhere near rusty as he showers Trebla with appellations on his first verse. Eventually, after weaving syllables and metaphors that he’s quite adept at, he passes on the baton to Trebla to show just a little bit of shine for his upcoming mixtape with Hot Jam.

After that Trebla passes the mic back to Kay-Ara who gracefully closes down the curtains with one last verse before Trix sends the audience home. Accra Nyt Life is a song produced by Yaw Dan, a producer who is credited for most of Kay-Ara’s works. His resume includes songs like “By The Way” which features Pappy Kojo and Lady Jay of Pidgen Music, “All The Gurlz” and “Cross Ova 2012” by Klumonsta and Boy Nash.

Get your internet bundles ready as three of the most anticipated mixtape-mongers bring you audio fire this Saturday. And oh, you might want to have a glass of chilled Bubra to quench your thirst!
