3Music Awards 2020: Okyeame Kwame’s ‘Made in Ghana’ wins Album of the Year
Okyeame Kwame’s ‘Made in Ghana’ album was adjudged the Album of the Year at the 2020 3Music Awards which was held yesterday at the Fantasy Dome.
The album beat off competition from ‘As Promised’ by King Promise, ‘Shay On You’ by Wendy Shay, ‘SITE 15′ by R2Bees, Sugar’ by KiDi, ‘The 8th Element’ by Trigmatic, ‘Untamed’ by Samini, ‘Wind of Revival’ by Joe Mettle and ‘Wonder Boy’ by Shatta Wale.
Okyeame Kwame’s ‘Made in Ghana’ project highlights the virtues of all groups of people in Ghana across the various regions and also encourages Ghanaians to be proud of their culture and heritage.

Basically, it seeks to promote local trade and nationalism.
The songs represent the various regions in terms of concept and the artistes featured.
The music videos of the songs also showcase some tourist sites in Ghana as Kwame’s contribution to marketing Ghana’s tourist sites. This is part of Okyeame Kwame’s resolve to promote tourism through the arts.
The album has songs like ‘Made in Ghana’ which features KiDi, ‘Bra’ which he did with Wutah Afriyie, ‘Dia Tina’ ft Wiyaala & King Ralph and Bolgatanga Girl ft Abiana & Atongo Zimba.

The 2020 Edition of the 3Music Awards which is organized by 3Media Networks was helld on the 2nd of May, 2020 at the Fantansy Dome at the Accra International Trade Fair. The event took place in an empty auditorium as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic which doesnt allow large gatherings to be organized.

DJ Yoga has released yet another hot rap song titled Freaky Flow which features one of the pioneers of rap music in Ghana Kwaku T as well as fastest rising hip hop artistes Reed Drago and Street4tune.
This song is produced by Netherlands based Ghanaian producer Vader YF and DJ Yoga .
The song is a lyrical display amidst the artiste and it’s addresses our everyday issue and hustle of the Ghanaian Youth.
DJ Yoga is currently working on project which seeks to merge both the old and new hip hop artistes towards the creating of a new hip hop sound for the future .

Kobbi Manni is one of the names that comes into mind when talking about promising artistes in Ghana’s music industry.

Last night, he officially premiered music video for his new song, “Maabena” directed by Justice Ornan Ababah.

2020 3MUSIC AWARDS TONIGHT
The 2020 3Music Awards is taking place tonight.
The virtual event will come live from the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair, Accra, to audiences on Joy Prime, and across a number of Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter platforms.
The event will feature a select physical performance block while others will come from virtual locations.
Tonight’s event will feature a handful of people, numbering 25, in keeping with state protocols on COVID-19.

Prior to tonight’s event, the scheme held a successful nominees announcement night attended by leading industry heads, topping it with the highly successful 3Music Women’s Brunch, which brought together leading figures in the arts, creative and entertainment industry for a day’s thought leadership session.

Becca Inspires The World With ‘Overcome’ Amidst Corona Virus Pandemic
Multiple Award-winning Ghanaian singer Rebecca Acheampong popularly known as Becca has dropped a very soulful song, Overcome to inspire humanity in this period where the world has been hit by the deadly corona virus.
Overcome, produced by Dunnie encourages the world to stay strong despite the crisis that has come along with the corona virus pandemic over the last few months.
The song also honours and appreciates the ‘super heroes’ like the health officials and security officials who have sacrificed their lives by front lining to help the fight against covid 19.
Becca earlier on announced that all proceeds from this song will go into the covid 19 Fund established by the Republic of Ghana to fight the pandemic.
She further stated that Overcome is not an official single release but a message of hope, love, resilience and gratitude to these courageous women and men and Ghanaians in general.

Award-winning Highlife/Afro-pop musician Francesca Duncan William’s known in the music industry as Sista Afia has named highlife musician Naf Kassi as one of her finest musicians in Ghana now.
Taking to her Twitter handle, she named Naf Kassi who has hit songs like “Odo, Mane Me and her current song that has gained worldwide airplay “Special Feeling” as one of her finest artists in Ghana now.
Originating from Bogoso in the western region of Ghana, Naf Kassi has gained worldwide fame in the music industry ever since she started her music career.
Musicians like Efya, Kofi Kinaata, Akwaboah, Paa Kwasi (Dobble), Fameye just to mention few have all endiersed the great female highlife musician as one Ghanaian’s should lookup for.
The “Jeje” hitmaker announced on her page Naf Kassi among other artists she believes will take Ghana music to the next level.

A year after being awarded the Unsung Artiste at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, rapper Kula tackles the rumours, hearsay and opinions that have been formed around him.
In his cover of EL’s Efa Wo Ho Ben, Kula didn’t sway from the original concept but rather followed it creatively to deliver a stream of rumours and displeasure people have against him in recent times.
