I’m the best female rapper in Africa – Eno Barony

Officially signed to 2MG Music, a label owned by multiple hit producer Mix Master Garzy, Eno Barony formerly Eno, in a recent interview declared she has finally arrived in the music business with rap music to that effect. Eno, one of Ghana’s finest female emcees deeply rooted in rap music said she is the best and finest female rapper in Africa. Known for her pregnant lyrical prowess, energy and efficiency on a beat anytime, any day she clearly stated that most of the female acts in Africa are into singing which makes the rap game male-dominated, therefore she is blowing her horn as the best female rapper in Africa front lining and championing the female rap course.

Eno Barony, she is calling on other female acts heavily rooted in rap music to work and go hard on their rap skills as it will go long way in helping to diversify the growth of the industry and will also expose their talents to the outside world and music lovers at large. Lamenting on how the female rappers are ignored by the industry, she expressed how it actually dispirited the upcoming female rappers which makes it very difficult for them to excel doing rap music as female. This situation makes a lot of female rappers turn to become singers which in a way affect the industry’s growth. She emphatically stated that she is nowhere near quitting or giving up on her career as the best female rapper in Africa. According to her, what Ghanaians and the world at large have seen her do were just the tip of an iceberg. Interestingly she proved music fanatics that she really means business by releasing a single with Sista Afia titled “d33d3w”, the song is making waves locally and internationally.

Seemly she is yet to truly declare her stand as the best female rapper by dropping her yet to be released album christened “Yaa Asantewaa”. She confidentially asserted that “I see myself an A-listed artist, not an underground act”. In her opinion, every artist has his or her own following in the music circle, she is playing her role in the rap genre of music and performing on many event platforms.

Drawing down the curtains, the hip-pop diva said some Ghanaian artists are doing exceptionally well with their music across the borders of the country. Such acts include Stephanie Benson, Sarkodie, Samini, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, et al. These acts are being recognized on the world stage and also winning prominent awards for the country. She pleaded that, stakeholders, promoters, DJs, bloggers and Ghanaians in general to support and help push the Ghana music, our pride to that effect, to the world. This, in turn, can get more Ghanaian acts international awards nominations, which they equally stand chances of winning many categories on the global market.

Photos+ Video: Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings Falls For Joyce Blessing Top Class Performance At Becca’s Concert

Patrons who came to the National Theatre on Saturday, 21st October,2017 to commemorate Becca’s 10th musical anniversary undeniably crowned the gospel diva as the best performer of the night saving the boring event with an electrifying atmosphere.

Joyce Blessing perfectly rocked the show to the gratification of all, with songs like ” You Raised Me Up”, Heavy Price”, and Monko Moakyi single. , parading such a stupendous stage craft with a quite captivating and bubbling costume.

E.L Makes Feature In Vogue Magazine

E.L - Vogue Feature
E.L – Vogue Feature

Ahead to the release of his forthcoming ”West African Vibes” (WAVs) album, the B.A.R. (Best African Rapper), E.L has been granted a feature in the prestigious fashion and style magazine – Vogue (USA).

In his feature titled ”How one Afrobeat superstar is reinventing Ghana’s most prized fashion treasure”, E.L spoke about how he’s picky about his ”Kente”; also known as nwentom in Akan, is a type of silk and cotton fabric made of interwoven cloth strips and is native to the Akan ethnic group of South Ghana. ”It’s tradition in Ghana – buying fabrics, gifting fabrics”, he says.

E.L also said when he needs something special for a show or red carpet event (he won Artist of the Year at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards), he turns to his tailor, Chocolate, who runs a studio in the Dome neighborhood of the capital.

Chocolate has a knack for using traditional motifs, including kente, in unlikely ways, such as piping on suits. ”It should always be with a twist. Culture is dynamic. It’s always changing. Our fathers wore cloth, but we want to create a contemporary look”, says E.L. He further went on to say if he needs something ready-made, he goes over to Studio One Eighty Nine, the boutique and clothing line operated between New York and Accra by designer Abrima Erwiah and actress, Rosario Dawson.

The ‘Abaa’ crooner is currently promoting his new single ‘Pay Like A Boss’ and it’s doing very well on radio, blogs, websites across the country and nationwide.

Vogue is an American fashion and lifestyle magazine made up of many components including fashion, beauty, culture, living and runway. Vogue began as a weekly newspaper in 1892 in the United States, before becoming a monthly publication years later.

Shatta Wale Validates Eye Judah

The Ghanaian dancehall fraternity has proven to be one of the genres which faces much competition amidst challenges, controversies and tittle-tattle just to stay relevant. You hardly hear a top notch act promoting a fellow act who does the same genre.

Check out : Wutah Take Ghanaians Back To 80s As They Shoot “BRONYA”

But bingo!!.. The dancehall king SHATTA WALE (real name Charles Nii Armah Mensah) has broken the yoke.

In one of his itineraries of celebrating his Birthday, SHATTA WALE shared a recently released song of EYE JUDAH who is signed under FREEDOM CRY RECORDS via his Facebook page.

The fast rising dancehall artiste who goes with the tagline “Radical gingerman” is one of the few dancehall Artistes with conscious lyrical dexterity and Adept stage craft.
