The new tune which will be released soon is tittled “Odasani” and might feature one of the top musicians in Ghana.
Strongman was the second artist who got signed unto the Sarkcess Music record label by BET award winning rapper Sarkodie, after Akwaboah, who contributed massively in Sarkodie’s fourth album, “Mary”.
Strongman has been tagged as Sarkodie’s successor due to his good delivery and heavy punchlines behind the microphone as a rapper.

FOCAP has learnt with dismay the sudden brouhaha surrounding the Audio Visual Rights Society Of Ghana (ARSOG) after our press release about the scheduled elections for which we believed the right thing should be done, thankfully by the effective work of some members, a court injunction has been placed on it. It is important to note that FOCAP is keenly watching and studying how the issues and processes will go to help maintain the peace and stability we need in ASORG.
FOCAP believes the very immediate institution in the hierarchy and workings of collecting societies in Ghana; The Copyright Administrator, which gave 14 days ultimatum to meet both parties and resolve the issues is really on course the right track and FOCAP would like to draw the attention of the Copyright Administrator to some of the areas that needs appropriate attention and scrutiny.
FOCAP would like to recommend a set up of an independent committee to investigate the current/outgoing interim executives.
This FOCAP believes will bring genuineness, transparency and accountability to the organisation ASORG. FOCAP has intercepted the Financial Statements and Distribution Statements for the year ended 31st December 2012 to 31st December 2016 and clearly we cannot say Kissi Consult (Chartered Accountants) which has acted as the Independent Auditing firm for ASORG’s financials did not do a good job but FOCAP believes it is necessary to have a forensic audit by the Copyright Administrator independently.
Per the audited financial statements of ARSOG between year ending 31 December 2012 and 31
December 2015; below are some cumulative expenditure for your attention: ARSOG Board Allowances
= Ghc 153,092
ARSOG Local Travels
= Ghc 115,912
ARSOG Advertising and Publicity
= Ghc 52,809
ARSOG Salaries and Allowances
= Ghc 94,604
ARSOG Per Diem (2014 & 2015)
= Ghc 74,739
ARSOG Food and Entertainment (2014 & 2015)
= Ghc 30,257
ARSOG Cash Award to Icons (2014 & 2015)
= Ghc 197,044
ARSOG Board Honorarium (2015)
= Ghc 58,160
ARSOG Hotel Accommodations (2013 – 2015)
=Ghc 60,729
FOCAP is assuring the Copyright Administrator that we will play our watchdog well and monitor to see how the case is resolved.
The vision of ARSOG according to their Constitution says “the Audio Visual Rights Society of Ghana will be counted among the best collecting management organisation” and FOCAP hopes to aid them to achieve this bold vision.
Recommendations:
Per our research and knowledge, we have come to believe that as best practice for collecting societies, the Board should be separated from Management but after careful study of the audited account FOCAP realized that board members played an active role for both board and management and received allowances for all ie. Board Sitting Allowance, Management Allowance, Per Diem, Icon Award and also received Levy/Royalties as members. We hope the Copyright Administrator would take a critical look at this anomaly during the mediation.
New rap artiste Asante the Alpha has just released the audio and the visuals to his hip-hop heavy tune ‘Mee Gye’.
The 4 minute plus song is just Asante staking a claim for the title as the best rapper in the country and after listening to the song you could concur that he indeed has got some point.
The song is laced with word play jabs and exceptional Twi lyricism on a great hip-hop beat that will leave you bumping for more.
The video which was directed by KP Selorm of MiPROMO Media is also eye catchy as the various scenes depict the ruggedness to which he claims the rap king title from a figure he describes but doesn’t name.
Further on ‘Mee Gye’, Asante repeats that he is the new king of rap with his style being authentic and the rest fake.
He calls out your favourite rapper by rapping about him being here to strip him of his crown.
He doesn’t stop there as he says he’s here to rule going on to even describe your favourite rapper’s tongue twisting rap style as ‘nonfa’. Nonfa is something that makes no sense.
This wouldn’t be the first time Asante has called other rappers out to his throne ascension desires.
On his hip-hop song ‘H33333r’ the rapper spoke about the ills in the industry and a whole lot. Asante rapped about there being only 7 top musicians in the music game in Ghana. Hold that’s not all.
On ‘Mee Gye’ and ‘H33333r’ Asante just cut through everyone whilst also thumping his chest as the best rapper in the country. Do well to listen to ‘Mee Gye’.

Afro-soul singer and winner of Best Vocalist at the Ghana Music Awards, Adina Thembi continues to etch her shrill and lusty voice on not just the fans but carefully coxing her way into the heart of MTN Hitmaker star, Kidi. Celebrity journalists have described the two ‘lovebirds’ as inseparable as they coupled to produce one of the best songs I’ve previewed so far.
Being an experienced producer with one of Africa’s top urban music house, Lynx Entertainment, Kidi is seen as a talented young singer with a promising future on the African music scene. This year has been great for young upcoming musicians especially Afrobeat artistes as their records get encouraging on-air rotation across Africa and some parts of Europe.
‘Timeless love’ – The song
Something soothing about a young, innocent girl’s delivery on a love song, but Adina isn’t; not arguable. Timeless love was originally sung by Spanish singer and songwriter, Enrique Iglesias – a chart-topping soundtrack ‘Cuando me enamoro’ for the award winning Telenovela ‘Timeless love’. Adina’s voice delivery is just prolific. Key attention to the amazing works on the keyboard as Kidi enters with his doting verse….‘walking to the stars to bring Adina the twilights” Dude got lines.
Adina joins in swearing her hearts out to do anything for Kidi. This is a song for love. In this love song you definitely find fondness of two young people delighted about their feelings for each other and openly expressing it.
If this is just a song, they shouldn’t let it be. I entreat Adina and Kidi to make it real.
Get a taste of the theme song of GHOne TV’s new Telenovela ‘Timeless love’ performed by Adina and Kidi below, and don’t miss this award winning, captivating love story this October on GHOne TV.

Dancehall/reggae artiste, Strict Stylin has come out to deny rumors circulating that he wants to compete the BHIM Nation president, Stonebwoy.
Comments about Strict Stylin’s “Hard Time” single from music lovers on social media states that, he intentionally released the song to compete Stonebwoy’s “My Name” which is of no doubt the current street anthem.
According to Strict Styin, he has never dreamt of competing Stonebwoy because personally, he is a fan and his songs inspire him to work more.
There is no truth in what people are saying. I dont give attention to such things but i feel like clearing it before Stonebwoy thinks otherwise. As a matter of fact, Stonebwoy inspires me a lot. If you listen to most of my songs, you will know i talk about the real hustle life, and this inspiration comes from my lifestyle and some musicians i listen to, including Stonebwoy. There is no competition between us and i wont even think of competing him, never.
Talking about why he released “Hard Time” on the same ridim of Stonebwoy’s “My Name”, Strict stated.
Like i said earlier on, Im a fan of Stonebwoy and besides, it is a ridim so anyone can ride on it so there is no negative thought about my version. I respect Stonebwoy and hoping to have a joint with him one day. Strict Stylin added.
Few days ago, Strict Stylin released a song dubbed Hard Time which is cooking hot on the airwaves.
Enjoy below and be your own judge, if what he (Strict Stylin) is saying is true or what music lovers are saying?
