Underrated Songs Usually Become “Hit Songs” – GodWynn Tells Patapaa

According to GodWynn, there is nothing like senseless music when it comes to ratings and charts.

He believes as a musician, sometimes all you have to do is create rhythms and lyrics that music lovers out there can relate to and this doesn’t mean you should always compose love songs or rich lifestyle music, rather, anything that can sell or easily penetrate, and that’s exactly what Patapaa has done. He is just smart.

Listening to the song, you will know he literally made no sense but today this song is the number hit song in Ghana. A lot of efforts are involved, some include Gods favor, blessing, Patapaa’s determination and all the things circulated around the song now. This season is of no doubt his’. GodWynn stated

GodWynn is currently preparing to release his much awaited single dubbed “Eazy”. The song which has been enjoying series of social media hype will be out few days from now, with production credit going to Kaywa.

Management promises to release the visuals right after the audio is out and we can’t wait.

Akan Unveils Tracklist for ‘Onipa Akoma’ album

Undoubtedly one of best voices among the emerging wave of talents on the scene, Akan has managed to secure a unique identity with his rich language and proverbial traits evident in his music. With the success of his debut project; Akan E.P which earned him lots of admiration from industry players, old cats in the games, co-signs, interviews, shows, fans and all an upcoming rapper will need to boost his confidence and gather some attention, he has attained a lot of growth with an outstanding sound, finding a niche between the old Hip-life and modern sound of Hip hop over a period of time and 2 years after the E.P, Akan prepares to release his next project; an album to his catalogue.

ONIPA AKOMA as he first announced as the title of the album via his twitter page, will be released under A-Level Music, the indie label we’ve seen on his music videos for some time now. It is rumored that Akan paused from everything to concentrate on the album and has been keen on making it sound better than the E.P, as if the E.P wasn’t enough for a startup.

Akan is coming taking on a different route towards the album this album, as compared to the E.P which came with no singles and video to promote. We’ve been treated with some singles already, the smash hit “Helebaba” featuring Worlasi and its video, Jayso produced touching “Man Hole” and recent released “Abusuapanyini Freestyle” which sparked lots of conversation amongst rap fans, Akan declaring himself the leader of the game and head of his music lovers, the Akan Abusua. With what we have heard,we are glad to learn Akan is raising the bar with the sonics and content on ONIPA AKOMA. A studio image posted online showed his in-house producer and friend TwistedWavex, who is handling majority of the productions on the album which will also feature productions from producer MikeMillz, Yungfly and other young producers on the scene.

Akan and team was discreet with details about the album, until the private listening of the album, revealing the track list and features on the album which surprisingly came with a single name Worlasi, but one can’t afford not to trust Akan’s process. From what we have heard ONIPA AKOMA is a master piece, a 15 track project, themed around the strong concept of spirituality and morality. Many have called it a strong comeback from the E.P which was tagged the next best thing after Obrafour’s classic “Pae Mu Ka”. All singles have received positive reactions and we have a release date. It’s been scheduled for October 14th for a release but before that fans can also

pre-order via Aftown.com before the date is due. Expectations are high on this and we can’t wait for it drop.

You can pre-order ONIPA AKOMA here: http://aftown.com/shop/AKANPREORDER

D-Black, Fancy Gadam, SP Kofi Sarpong, others among 30 Ghana tourism ambassadors

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, has welcomed 30 Ambassadors at a cocktail event to spearhead the “See Ghana, Eat Ghana, Wear Ghana, Feel Ghana”, campaign.

The campaign concept draws on re-orienting Ghanaians on a new sense of national pride in its heritage, culture, and way of life.

Check Out : Shatta Wale – Duna (Prod. by Da Maker)

The Ambassadors, who cut across different creative arts sectors including Musicians, Actors, Radio Presenters, Disc Jockeys (DJ) and Bloggers, are to promote tourism growth domestically and internationally to boost Ghana’s Ghana’s economic growth.

Ambassadors include SP Kofi Sarpong, D-Black, Nana Ampadu, Okyeame Kwame, Fancy Gadam, Agya Koo, Lucky Mensah, Abeiku Santana Aggrey and Sena Degadu.

Catherine Afeku, the Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, said the aim of the Tourism Ambassador programme, was to partner influential persons to help drive tourism growth in and outside the country.

She said the programme was to enhance, develop and deliver destination management objectives and potentially help position Ghana as a tourist destination of choice.

She said the ambassadors would, therefore, use their personalities and expertise to sell Ghana’s tourism potential to the world.

Reggie N Bollie told GNA in an interview that, the appointed U.K and Europe Tourism Ambassadors said, “We feel very humbled and privileged to represent Ghana and we will endeavor to raise the flag of Ghana high wherever we go.”

Meanwhile, Okyehene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, has urged the government to promote tourism-related events and activities that would be maintained by the future generation.

The Okyehene said this when the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, together with officials from the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Ministry, and the tourism ambassadors called on him at his palace in Kyebi.

He said most continents have been able to develop their tourism potential, not based on what they have but with the idea and mentality to develop what they want to have.

“We have a lot of potentials and resources as a continent but we have failed to use our minds to develop them. This is the era of change and unless leadership is willing to hold on to the change, we would continue to be where we are.”

Okyehene Ofori Panin urged the 30 ambassadors to forge to be the future ambassadors of tourism not because of fame, exposure and money but because they have something to hold on to help in the development of Ghana’s tourism potential.

Dr Ziblim Barri Iddi, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, said the call was part of activities lined up for this year’s World Tourism Day celebration to be climaxed in Tamale.

He said the event cannot take place in Tamale without having the feel of what other parts of the country has to offer.

It is an opportunity to take the ambassadors through the historic city of Kyebi to feel Ghana, he said.

He said their visit was symbolic, as the history of Ghana cannot be told without mentioning Kyebi, adding that it was also to demonstrate government’s appreciation to the good work of the Okyehene towards protecting the environment, hence promoting eco-tourism.

Dr Iddi said the team’s visit was also for the Okyehene’s blessings towards a successful celebration of this year’s World Tourism Day.

The team later called on the Asantihene, Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, in Kumasi to introduce the ambassadors.

As part of the activities lined up for the celebration, there was a visit to the Kintampo Water Falls on Tuesday, September 26, and the World Tourism Day celebration and the Northern Region Tourism Investment Summit would be held on Wednesday, September 27.
