The diminutive Akwapem rapper goes hard on this with his catchy hook asking the big question ‘who is the King’ of Akwapem after recent battles from other quarters claiming to be ‘gods and kings’ of it. Koo Ntakra begins his attack on this joint by starting with a Martin Luther King Jnr statement as intro before throwing what it seem to be shots on what he terms ‘S or P’.
Gospel musician of the moment Joyce Blessing never ceases to amaze her aficionados with her unquenchable strength.
This Wednesday morning on Accra based radio Top 103.1 FM , the Agyebum crooner was seen in a video singing one of the buzzing songs “Boot4Boot” on her latest album christened “Agyebum”.
One could clearly cogitate that the gospel soloist through her singing discursively warned her enemies and haters to keep their eyes off her and focus because she is blessed.
“Some people are after me and are wishing my downfall even though I have not offended them. God lives in heaven and you who is trying to bring me down lives on earth, God shall belittle them all.For those who love and appreciate my works ,God bless them ,and those who criticise me too God Bless them”: She Said.
Joyce Blessing has been in the news several times for her trending ” Agyebum” album and also being attacked in her interview by Deloris Frimpong Manso known popularly as Delay who claims the multifarious award winning gospel musician has been ungrateful to her former manager Kwasi Ernest which she (Joyce Blessing) denied as false.
Management of the revived music duo, Wutah made of Wutah Kobby and Afriyie, NKZ music, headed by our very own rapper, Guru and his brother Mark Nelson has expressed its utmost displeasure over what its described as ‘Unscrupulous Misconduct’.
Performing a remix, re-up, or what is widely unknown in Ghana as “Refix” of ones favourite song, is an inappropriate act which with time has developed to be part of us.
Following the release of its official second single after long awaited resurrection, Wutah’s ‘Bronya’ miraculously has been become the number one song in the country, with heavy rotation plays from every speaker around the corner.
The widely accepted song ‘Bronya’ as the title translate to English “Christmas” is one masterpiece tipped by the music experts to be the official song for this year’s X’mas festival. Sadly, the faith of the song is in a state of dilemma following multiple releases on unapproved remixes and re-recordings.
Checks from the world’s top search engine – Google produces some results of which the General Manager of NKZ Music who gave his name as Mark Nelson called ‘unapproved’
The various versions of the song created by some unknown persons without prior approval from the right owners creates a very disturbing situation.
Management of Wutah – NKZ Music called for a stop to such acts; calling on all persons who wish to creates their version of the grand hit song to consult the management before doing so.

The Headliner Fancy Gadam as usual of him climaxed the show with a well crafted energetic performance making the fans asking for more amidst the rains.
King of Kumawood movies Lilwin, Bad girl EBONY, S.KY, B4 Bona, Article Wan and host of others also thrilled the fans in the stadium.

We are made to believe that high-life music is an authentic music genre of Ghanaian music industry, which has been with us all this while but as the saying goes,’music is dynamic’ and every generation and their choices which is also related to music.
There have been many people who have high life music at heart and have spoken against the fall of the music genre in our music industry, but it seems like Ghanaians have now adopted and liked other music genres that do not originate from Ghana than our own high life music which is a big blow to the music industry.
Ghanaian DJ’s and presenters now play music on their various programs without high-life music from Ghana, which is making high-life musicians in Ghana unhappy about it. Due to this act by Ghanaians, it has even opened the door for Nigerian musicians to reign in our music industry with their style of high-life music and have been bold enough to claim’originators’ of the high-life music.
Moving into this problem, one high-life music guru of our time who is putting Ghanaian high-life music on the world map is the award winning high life artiste Ronald Kweku Dei Appiah popularly known as BisaK’dei has come out to add his voice to this unfortunate experience about the same genre; high-life music. In an interview with Flex newspaper, BisaK’dei revealed that it’s very difficult for an A-LIST artiste to make it with high-life music in Ghana without moving from one media house to the other, to do promotions of his or her song which is absurd as far as the Ghanaian industry is concerned.
He continued to say that, Ghanaians seem to concentrate on other music genres more than what is originally theirs, which doesn’t sink with traditions and cultural values and does not the story of Ghana to the world. The ‘Mansa’ and ‘Brother Brother’ hit maker added that, Ghanaians have ignored high-life music because even when general awards nominations come to the public, high-life music is given just two or maybe three categories only while the others get multiple categories which is bad and disrespectful to the music genre.
“This doesn’t encourage other musicians to do high-life. This is because they believe even after their hard work, they will not be awarded which shouldn’t be so and that is killing many talents among the youth. So I am pleading to Ghanaians to love their own which will be enough to motivate others do high life music” he quavered.
Bisak’dei is currently out with his latest banger ‘Sister girl’, a continuation of his hit song ‘Brother brother has urged Ghanaians to pay much attention to high-life music than hip-pop, dancehall, RnB and other music genres that are from telling the history of Ghanaians.
Speaking to Delay, he admonished that people stay away from the comparison because he is “an entertainer… and not a lyricist”
“I’m not a lyricist. I’m not an MC. Don’t compare me to Sarkodie. I don’t do what they do. Sarkodie is an amazing lyricist. Me, I’m a business man. I’m an entertainer. I make music, you dance to it and I get paid for it and I am happy for that,” explained D Black.
“I’ve gone to the BETs, I’ve won Channel O’s, I’ve been nominated Best Rapper in Africa. The music industry is not about talent any more. It’s also about the material you put out there. It’s also about your brand. It’s also about the music you put out and I am a combination of all these.”
You will need to spread the African story and Medikal takes the step to do it lyrically. You will just need to watch the video of “Beautiful Africa” here. It was shot on location in South Africa. Enjoy this one here.
