Good music as it’s been said will live forever and the great musician who produced these songs will be well celebrated.

It was a night of reminiscing good old days, recounting some of the interesting happenings as Ghana’s legendary Highlife singer, Rex Omar well known for composing great songs including Dadadida, Abiba, Dangerous, Maaba, hosted bloggers and journalists at La Palm Hotel last Friday for a media interaction.

Organised by Firm Bridges Communications the event offered those present the opportunity to know what the legendary Jazz musician has been up to over the past years.

As they dined, Rex Omar made mention of his forthcoming 15 track album which is slated to be released later this year with eight (8) music videos to support it.

With the working title “Rextoration”, the album will feature Sarkodie, Samini, Manifest, Trigmatic and Okyeame Kwame on different genres of music ranging from Highlife, Hiplife, Jazz, Adowa and others.

He hinted that, when the album is out, it will be on sale on various digital online shop including, Itunes, Deezer, Ebay and Amazon.

His new single “Paapa” released not long ago to celebrate our fathers is doing amazing over the airwaves and it is expected to make an appearance on the “Rextoration album.

He took the opportunity to praise the media and the new age of journalism – blogging for promoting Ghana’s music and culture to the outside world.
