Afro-Gospel musician Richard Obiri-Smith known in showbiz as RichieO, has released his third single dubbed “4 Life” featuring sensational Nigerian singer, Lade of “Adulthood Na Scam” fame. This latest smash comes off his previous hit releases, “Jara” and “New Level” (which became the first gospel songs to be featured on the BBNaija “Level-up” reality show) and showcases a more developed artistry and relatable tune that is sure to get listeners singing along, vibing to the positive and contagiously catchy lyrics that speaks to thanking God for the gift of life.
In “4 Life”, the artist conveys the message that as long as one has life, there is still hope to turn an unfortunate situation around. He thus encourages the need to show gratitude to God instead of dwelling on the negative aspects of life that everyone goes through at some point in life. In short; enemies are not God.
RichieO showcases his artistic growth since his debut and sophomore singles as he raps and sings on the record switching between Pidgin, Akan, and some Yoruba references. In a similar fashion to the previous singles, “4 Life” has quickly caught Ghana and Nigeria by storm as evident by the massive airplay and streams the new song is receiving a few days upon its release.
RichieO has cemented his stay in the music industry and promises a soon-to-be-released EP which features some of the finest artists in Africa. He may have just found a winning formula by delivering inspirational, uplifting but vibey tunes that promise listeners a solid message and a good time on dance floors across the world.
“4 Life” was co-written with Lade and is available on all streaming platforms. The song comes with a simple yet appealing video on the musician’s YouTube channel.
