Social Media Week, the global marketing and media platform is returning to Accra for the 2nd time at the Accra Mall. The event that saw applauds from the President and got Accra connected will this year be centered on conversations that range from individualism, community, and the bridging gaps in between.

As more and more people join the ever-growing community, conversations bordering on freelancing, brands and consumer relationships, trolling, sustaining consumer engagement among other topics will be at the forefront of the conversations this week. Featuring industry experts like Ann Sackey, Marketing Manager at DSTV, Yaa Boateng, Creative Director and Business Unit Head at Renegades Africa among others.

Speaking at the launch, COO of EchoHouse Ghana Limited, Bright Ayaaba stated “How do we ensure that we are in the game, that we are competing strongly in the next generation of everything, be it social media platforms, technology, content etc. We need to get bolder. We can not win by trying to convince everyone to patronize only made in Africa products, e.g., use my app because it was created in Africa for Africa, we can win by being Bolder and going head to head with all that is already existing. Nothing stops us from reverse engineering, nothing stops us from building upon what exists and using our background to make them better for ourselves.”
