Vocalist and recording artiste, Wezzy Baron has punched hard at current crop of Afrobeats music being produced in both Nigeria and Ghana. According to the fast rising musician, it’s been such a long time since he heard a real AfroBeat song from any Ghanaian artiste. To him, what they do is mostly urban highlife and not Afrobeats.
Citing the likes of R2Bees, Fuse ODG and Kwamz n Flava, Wezzy who just dropped a new single featuring Yung C, said that the time of these artistes gave a all of great hope that we are finally embracing Afrobeats — but for some funny reason, the pace has totally fallen.

“Afrobeats is selling big time, and Ghanaians must embrace it, but we must do authentic Afrobeats. It’s been long since I heard a real Afrobeats song in Ghana” — he explained to Freshndwom.com
