The scheme which is aimed at rewarding event excellence has awarded and recognized the scintillating works of event organizers over the years and this year and to support projects of event organisers as usual will also feature the highly sought after Ghana’s top 100 event.
This years awards powered by EVENTGUIDE AFRICA and RYTHMZS AFRICA, nominations for the 2020 editionl officially be opened today Friday, February 28, 2020 with interesting additional categories like Event Logistics Supplier of the year, Most Influential Event of the year, Best Outdoor Event of the year, Most Prestigious Event of the year, Best Event Venue of the year, Best Security Service of the year and Hype Man of the year.
This year’s Ghana Event Awards launch will explain the voting process and there will be special giveaways from sponsors to attendance.

It’s been approximately 4 weeks since the official closure of the Call for Entries for the 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. The board, research team, and the VGMA secretariat have been at work, reviewing precisely 632 submissions and work done for 2019, to ensure the most qualified make it to the nominees list. After weeks of meticulous reviews, the Board has finally completed its work and is ready to unveil the list of nominees.
The unveil, slated for Saturday, 29th February 2020, will be done hourly from 11am to 4pm on selected radio and TV stations on Media General and VGMA affiliate stations, as well as online via a number of Social Media handles, websites and blog portals.

Celebrated Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame, has through his lawyer Bobby Banson ESQ FCIArb of Smith & Adelaide legal firm, given veteran highlife artiste Gyedu Blau-Ambolley a 72-hour ultimatum to retract a defamatory comment he made about him and apologise in that same fashion.
This comes on the back of a recent interview Ambolley granted on 3FM, stating categorically that he has evidence that former President of Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Bice ‘Obour’ Osei Kuffuor gave Okyeame Kwame and other friends of his GHS 50,000 each from the GHS 2M fiscal budget money which was given to the union by the government in 2012.
Okyeame Kwame who took to his social media handles to put out the information said the statement by Gyedu Blay Ambolley was false and a dent on his hard earned reputation.
“I will like to tell my business partners, stakeholders and my fans that Gyedu-Blay Ambolley has perpetrated untrue fabricated lies about my character and reputation. However, my lawyers are handling it. Thank you all for the support.
It is my honest prayer that Gyedu Blay Ambolley, will do the needful which includes but not limited to due diligence, retraction and apology before the 72-hour duration given him.
I hope this scripture will not be true in his case (Proverbs 16:18).
Hopefully, this will not be a case study for testing the law of the land,” he wrote.
