A tour in Ghana, Europe and the United States to promote the album is in the works.

The power of social media cannot be dismissed. It may have started as a more refined means of keeping in touch with the world and your friends, sharing and connecting with people who share your interests, but at present, it has become one of the largest forces for societal change, exposing truths, creating a safe space for conversations that otherwise have no platform and most importantly, empowering people’s voices.
Thus, social media and hashtags are not only serving as a tool for dissemination and entertainment, but as a far better tool for democracy and activism. Its ability to bring issues to the fore front of your attention is fast turning it into the medium of choice for starting a conversation, moving it into on the ground actions that have resounding effects.
#OscarsSoWhite they asked to touch my hair.” In 2015 after the #Oscar nominees were announced, Editor, Writer and Activist April Reign, shared that post, and it sparked conversations off and online on the lack of diversity in Hollywood. The hashtag took on a life of its own and the year after, it has influenced systematic changes in Hollywood and the larger entertainment industry.
Since Reign shared that tweet, the Oscars Academy has announced and pledged to diversify its members by 2020. Hollywood now look out for a diversified cast thanks to online efforts and protests.
One of the most powerful aspects of social media is that it provides an independent platform for people to express themselves while connecting with like-minded individuals and create an ecosystem that allows for them to harness that power and cause domino effects. Crafting a hashtag that carefully summarizes your topic without losing the power and voices behind it, ensuring that it does not lose its momentum on social media or even disseminating the right information relating to it is no mean feat.
On the 12th of September, April Reign will be in Ghana for the independently organized Social Media Week, to speak on ‘The Power of Twitter and Opportunities’, the many ways you can translate conversations online into purposeful action offline.
There are a thousand ways social media is changing lives, holding power to account and causing systemic changes. This session will be beneficial to that NGO looking for a platform to amplify their voice, that advocate effecting changes and the public figure working for the people, this is your session. Come learn about the power of the hashtag, how to create them and allow them to educate and provoke change. It’s not just noise. It’s having an effect.
Lil Win – Nyame Gye Me (Feat. Top Kay) (Official Video)
Boss Nation Music boss, Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win brings to us the much anticipated music video for his latest release dubbed Nyame Gye Me.
It is of no doubt that this music video has enjoyed series of social media hype, basically because it was shot in Denkyira Obuasi.
Denkyira Obuasi became the focus of discussions in Ghana after some youth of the area killed a Military Captain, Major Maxwell Mahama whose identity was mistaken for an armed robber.
This unfortunate incident has left the community dry as some residents have fled whiles some other individuals have also decided on never visiting the community.
But Lil Win, in order to put smiles on the faces of residents in the community chose there as setting for the music video.
The visuals for “Nyame Gye Me” was directed by Steve Gyamfi.
Kontihene – Sakoaba (Feat. Shaker) (Prod. by Kuvie)
RF Entertainment label frontman, Kontihene has made a comeback with a brand new Afrobeats/Hiplife single titled “Sakoaba” featuring BBnZ Live label act, Shaker.
He dropped “Sakoaba” after taking a short break from the showbiz scene.
The mid-tempo jam produced by Kuvie is strictly a party anthem and it shows how fun Kontihene can be when he is in the party mood.
Kontihene delivered the rap verses and Shaker delivered a beautiful chorus.
Journalism is no joke and if the act of compromising becomes a norm then the public will never know the TRUTH but only what they want the public to know.
A typical example is how a radio entertainment show can discuss the influx of foreign soap opera dispassionately when it’s sister Tv Station is showing the same soap operas almost 24hrs a day.
I listen to Bbc news a lot and they report on a lot of issues including very tragic ones but you will never find the news reader showing emotions in fact all the emotions comes from the people they interview but here in Gh a news reader easily gets emotional and sometimes attempts to stop reading the news because they feel sad for a victim. You listen to an interview and it’s as if they are speaking for someone and it’s so obvious.
Why am I even wasting my time because nothing will change.
The painful thing is it becomes extremely difficult for a Professional Journalist who wants to do the right thing to survive in such a polarized environment where it’s very easy for people to buy cheap Journalist to do their bidding.
I believe a professional Journalist must never take sides and must tell the story as it is but yo! as long as there is cheap and hungry stomachs to be fed trust me Lions will continue to eat Lions.
Currently the craziest jam and it is owned by Patapaa from Agona Swedru. “One Corner” will give you crazy dance style and it has Ras Cann featured on it. Download it here and share.

After the successful release and wide promotion of the Irie Jams compilation trilogy (“Nima Clock Riddim”, “Pretty Nadia” and the “Irie Bus Riddim” albums, there’s constantly been a wild popular demand for Irie Ites Studio’s next project album — most reggae-dancehall followers impatiently pressuring for a quick release, but Irie Ites was sneakingly monitoring the demand growth and is now well settled to satisfy this overwhelming demand with its “Bad Edge Riddim” album — a 12 track project that will wow dancehall lovers worldwide.
The previous 2016 triplet release (“Nima Clock Riddim”, “Pretty Nadia Riddim” and “Irie Bus Riddim” albums, which were compiled for the triology project dubbed “Irie Jams Compilation”) received a massive worldwide attention and same is highly expected year’s “Bad Edge Riddim” album, even with an increased attention rate this time.
The “Irie Bus Riddim” had a must-see medley video shot for it, but “Bad Edge” is going a step further beyond medley video —- a public poll will be conducted on social media platforms for the most loved song among the 12 songs on the album. The artiste who tops the poll is entitled to a free video shoot and a special promo package.
Below is the complete tracklist of the “Bad Edge Riddim” album.
JEFRI KING – Badman Nuh Trust

As scheduled officially, the “Bad Edge Riddim” album will be released this Friday, 8th September 2017, but its yet ready medley video is rather scheduled for release a week after.
Alongside the promo period, all the official DJ mixes done for the “Bad Edge Riddim” will be submitted to the Irie Ites Studio to be published on Irie Ites Studio’s website and all other supporting websites.
The “Bad Edge Riddim” was produced by Tunz, one of the official producers at the Irie Ites Studio.
It’s been a little over an 8 week period of massive wild fan pressure for Cruked Route’s music after he flaunted on facebook a few enticing photos of his recording session inside the Irie Ites Studio during his voicing of “Dark High” ( a compilation album single he did on the studio’s “Mystic Roots Riddim”), and finally the reggae-rap brother decides to calm the overwhelming pressure with the release of “Ehiende” — a prior hot recording sitting impatiently in his 21 piece song bank.
Though, “Ehiende” was recorded before “Dark High”, yet Cruked Route never announced its availability until this time, but has rather popularised “Dark High” to the public and many followers of his brand have now already readied their curious ears to hear what lyrical content “Dark High” brings for listening.
Well, “Ehiende” comes as a hard play. Perhaps Cruked Route tactically wove it to be that intimidating defensive song set to glorify his game invincibility, sort of making highly terrifying his being the repeat victor of many rematch wars in his life story.
“I don’t follow trends, I just operate in this realm with a different a set of rules”: thus goes an “Ehiende” excerpt that a keen listener of deep rap wouldn’t hesitate to thumb Cruked Route up for in respect for his lyrical novelty and content depth.
Indeed, Cruked Route is a game changer, his definitive “Ehiende” song is coming out to blaze a surprise wild trend that harmoniously bridges reggae and rap. The post-performance praise this song earned from the wowed audience at DJ Nature Won’s “Heights of Reggae Dancehall” is enough evidence that the brand Cruked Route is a stronger grand competition.
“Ehiende” is Ga language word which translates in English as “it is in my possession”. Song comes out this Saturday, 9th September.
Producer/ Artiste Magnom organised an electrifying concert that shut the capital down on Saturday evening. The concert was called the “We Speed Serallio Edition”.
“We Speed” because that is the name of his latest mixtape and “Serallio Edition” because he did a first concert at Champs on his birthday and this was organised on demand from his fans who missed out on the first one which happened on a Thursday.
Magnom brought out the full force of the new generation of artistes Kidi, Kwesi Arthur, B4Bonah, Darkovibes $pacely, Kwaku BS, RJZ and Kidd Black to bear on the concert.
There were also cameo performances from older acts like Mz Vee and Gemini. It is a fact that Magnom has paid his dues as an ace producer and the line up is proof of that; furthermore as an artiste he is still dishing out the level of consistency and dopeness ghat we have come to associate with his name with Bangers like “My Baby”, “Overfeed Me” and “Bam Bam” which also happened to be his songs that had the best response from the crowd on the night. It’s safe to say that it was an awesome concert . Check out some of the pictures below:

Songstress Ebony Reigns has said she finds nothing wrong with the way she dresses in public even though she is aware people are not happy with her fashion style.
Speaking on Peace FM Entertainment Review on Saturday, Ebony revealed that is who she is, and she has no intentions of changing. She can’t live a life that is not hers.
“Since I got into the music scene, people have problems with my way of dressing…It is not something new to me.”
“I just don’t want to be fake that is why I dress like that. It is something I grew up with. Anyone who knows me growing up will testify that I am not even half as crazy as I was before,” she stated.
Over the weekend, Ebony posted some hot bikini photos of hers from the beach that got tongues wagging. Some people support her style while others don’t. The photos came out about the same time she released her latest song titled ‘Date Ur Fada’.
But according to Ebony, she represents a “bad girl” brand, which also represents who she is in person.
She is currently living her lifestyle in her music. Whatever she is doing now is the real her. She is not doing it for publicity as one may think.
Brella steps up and decides to be the mouth piece of the men as he brings to us “Play You Gala”. Ebony Reigns released “Date Ur Fada” some days ago and the controversy on this one has got the music industry in flames. Listen to this one we have for you here.
