Fatau Keita Live In Concert At Republic Bar On 2nd August

Artiste Fatau Keita will tomorrow perform at the Republic Bar at Osu in Accra in a concert dubbed ‘World Music Night’ wtih Fatau Keita.

The concert is being organised by the nation’s entertainment powerhouse, Speech Music Productions, in collaboration with Republic Bar.

Fatau Keita, who is expected to treat the audience to authentic traditional music mixed with highlife and Afro-pop, has promised to make the show a memorable one.

Speaking on his preparedness for the show, Fatau Keita disclosed his excitement about the show, saying, “I want my fans to prepare for the event which will be filled with good and danceable live band music.”

He added that the night will also be packed with well-choreographed performances that will leave many music fans screaming for more.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Speech Productions, Enock Agyapong, who is also the manager of Fatau Keita, also mentioned that his artiste is ready to unleash an extraordinary performance to meet the demand of his cherished fans.

Fatau will perform most of his award-winning songs, including his current single titled ‘My Baby’, featuring Wiyaala.

Before the show, music fans will be given the opportunity to interact with Fatau and take photographs with him.

Ghanaian singer MzBel, born Nana Akua Amoah, has disclosed that she is now a changed person, revealing that she is not proud of some her actions in the past.

Mzbel, who was a guest on the satirical talk show, Tonight starring Andrew Tandoh Adote also stated that when people hear her name, they expect to see a “bad girl character,” a contrary to who she is now.

“I am not so proud of some the things I did in the past. …It looks like how people get to know you from the beginning, is what sticks in their mind. It is very difficult to erase the memory of who you used to be. So it is difficult but I am trying to do my best.”

Mzbel also disclosed to host Andrew Tandoh Adote: “When people hear the name Mzbel, they expect to see like some bad girl character; showing some skin, wrestlers, acting crazy, you know but with age things change and I expect people will grow with me like that. But, no, no, no, no they think that you are faking or so many things. They don’t wanna accept it but I think with time they will have to because I have grown and I have changed. I am a mother now and I am more matured now.”

While speaking to Doreen Andoh on the Cosmopolitan Mix on Joy 99.7fm, he congratulated Shatta Wale for coming on his stage at Saminifest 2016 to share same stage with him.
Doreen Andoh then asked if he was ready to do a song with Shatta Wale and he says “I will sing along with him. He surprised me. He apologized to me. Showing up on set [Saminifest 2016], that was a surprise. He did make a mark and it helped the street calm down. It was an election year. We wanted to maintain peace during that season across the country. We needed a unified system. He really did great…On the feud thing, I think he knocked me well. I don’t think anyone deserves my response now if they bring beef,” he disclosed.

Meld Entertainment label act Nanky has opened up about who his inspiration as a musician comes from and to him, Mugeez of R2Bees is the one behind his passion.

In an interview with Nanky, the former lead singer of UG360 group believes coming up as a musician isn’t easy, especially when you have no one in the limelight believing in your dream, however, Mugeez has been supporting his music career behind the scenes and that is still pushing him to the next level.

As an upcomer, sometimes all you need is that encouragement from someone already out there doing what you doing but we are in a world that most musicians see people like us as a threat so we hardly get the motivation that will help us do more but rather, they even turn you down when you need them most but that’s all part of life. However, Mugeez from day one has been a mentor and getting close to him, he has been talking to me and believing in my talent so I’d say he is my inspiration.

When asked if we should expect a song from him and Mugeez, Nanky said yes

So Mugeez is outside the country now and I know when he comes he will jump on one of my songs so sooner or later, the world should expect me and Mugeez collaborate.

In an answer to who else he would love to work with as a feature on a song, Nanky said he has no boundaries for anyone who wants to feature him on a song, all he or she needs to do is to contact my manager Mr Louis Hammond and I will deliver my best.

Nanky also added that, Bisa Kdei is one of the musicians he is working to collaborate with.

Sometimes people think it’s impossible to get to global brands/musicians like Bisa Kdei since they are difficult and expensive to get but with the few stuffs I’ve heard about Bisa Kdei, his life story and his love for talented musicians, I know he will jump on my song one of these days and that will be another dream come true.

Nanky was on the late night celebrity show few days ago to talk about his latest song dubbed “I Do Yawa” and plans as a musician.

The visuals for “I Do Yawa”, according to sources, features his ex girlfriend Benedicta.

Entries are being accepted for the 2nd EDITION of Ghana Film and Television Crew
Awards(GFTC AWARDS) 2017. Submissions starts on August 7th, 2017 and ends on 21st
August 2017. The GFTC Awards is under the auspices of National Commission on Culture,
organized by Footprint Entertainment and Epicwave Multimedia in partnership with Film
Crew Association of Ghana(FICAG).
This awards seeks to honor crew members who work tirelessly behind the pictures, videos
and glamour we see in our movies and TV and also these awards will help erase the low
reputation given to such crew members on set and thereby bring some level of dignity to the
profession as well reward excellence in filmmaking.
GFTC Awards also gives the opportunity to the Ghanaian and African filmmakers from around
the world to receive praise, recognition and be awarded for their efforts at telling the African
stories to both Africans and the rest of the world during the period under review.
The scheme is accepting films of all genres and lengths with any official language or subtitled
in any official language. All films presented shall be watched and shortlists made based on
the awards’ criteria for the consideration of the jury.
Award winning Crew in the various categories of the scheme will be chosen based on merit
and the Technical aspect of the films by a jury made up of experienced Technical filmmakers
in the film industry. Only films made between 1st January 2016 and 31st January 2017 should
be submitted for consideration in the 2017 edition of awards.

A series of murmuring and chattering have been going on offshore since the release of the video for Koo Ntakra’s controversial hip hop freestyle song ‘48BARS’.
The King of Kofcity tends to be spearheading his rap game to another level and has received plaudits from some renowned media houses and Ghanaian music aces as most of them complimented by affirming the track’s musical context, the video setup, the filming techniques, the costumes and the entire approach appears to be very similar to Sarkodie’s ‘Take it back’ video which had a couple of fast rising & promising talents (including himself, Koo Ntakra) in the music industry names and their works being commended by Ghana’s rap King.

“48 Bars’ is lyrically packed and demonstrates who Koo Ntakra is in the music scene. He listed some of his achievements as a rap artiste; and I can say the young rapper has really worked hard and still working to hold on to the Akuapem rap legacy. This is pure fire and the beat got torn apart”, this is what renowned Ghanaian – Belgium based blogger, Komla Aborga said in May this year when the song was released.
The music video saw Koo Ntakra in his fur coat in most of the scenes with newspapers set covering the entire background. What this means to us is that, the newspapers represents the headlines he has made since he appeared in the music scene. More like an evidence or testimony to his claims.
The dashing rapper continued to voice out his achievements in the freestyle and questioned people why they still doubt his lyrical prowess, as he threw more jabs on other arts, same way Sark did in his controversial ‘Take it Back’ song.
It is often said that “when we seek to discover the best in others, we somehow bring out the best in ourselves”. The circulating chattering by far put the young talent’s piece above his icon which has sparked a whole lot of arguments and controversies on several media platforms.
