Ghana’s self-styled “King of Dancehall Music”, Shatta Wale has gotten yet another laurel to add to his strings of awards and recognition.
The artiste, who has consistently released hit songs after each other was crowned African Artiste of the Year at the 2017 African Pride Awards.
Shatta Wale took the penultimate by beating competition from Davido, Mr Eazi, Tekno, Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage and Diamond Platnumz, who were all nominated in the ‘Artist Of The Year (Africa)’ category.
The event was held at the Grand Ballroom at the Montcalm, England on Sunday, August 13, 2017.
On winning the award, the Ghanaian star took to his Facebook to update his fans of his laurel.
African Pride Awards also known as the peoples choice awards, comes together to Recognize, Celebrate and Honour, Africans who have impacted positively in the African diaspora community.
