Buzzing Ghanaian artist Yhaw Hero has taken a bold initiative to use revenue from his music streams to cater to the fees of one Ghanaian student.

The singer, who is still building his portfolio in the music scene, took to social media to express his sadness at the rate tertiary students took their own lives for various reasons. It comes against the backdrop of a KNUST student who attempted suicide but was saved by his roommates.

In a tweet, Yhaw Hero highlighted how his hit song 19 Years resonated with a young adult’s struggles navigating life.

He tweeted, “My song 19 Years talks about the stress of a young adult and it hurts to see students trying to take their lives. As part of a personal effort to ease the burden, I have decided to dedicate my first revenue from the record to cater for school fees for one student.”

This initiative has drawn applause from fans, Industry thought leaders, and music executives such as Kwadwo Sheldon, Sergio Manucho, and Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh (NYB).

Although still climbing the ladder on his musical journey, Yhaw Hero is already touching lives.
