Mawusi Set To Release Her Maiden Single “Divine Selection”

mawusi divine selection 2
mawusi divine selection 2

Changing the narrative of gospel song making in Africa seems to be apparent in the career of US based Ghanaian gospel songstress, Faustina Mawusi Seshie Appiah known professionally as Mawusi as she readies her tongue-wagging spirit-filled gospel Tune duped, Divine Selection.

The song aims at rekindling the faith of believers to stand firm and be appreciative especially in these last days when situations keep getting dire with augmented hardships.

Divine Selection, an English dominated song with a bit of twi infusion also talks about divine protection. It was written and produced by Herbert Crassie and performed by Mawusi.

With a background as a trained pharmaceutical technician and a flight attendant and currently pursuing Bachelors in healthcare Management in Colorado Christian University, USA, Mawusi has garnered experiences from all these spheres. This goes a long way to help her music composition, no doubts she is deep in coining her words.

Currently under the management of 2Face Records, Mawusi aims to cement her name in the heart’s of many by way of her soul touching songs and donations to orphans, the homeless, the poor etc. through her Mawusi Appiah Ministry

Mawusi Appiah ministry is purely based on the word of God. I want to help those in need, the deserted, orphans and widows in their affliction and keep myself unstained from the world. James 1:27 is my inspiration and I believe this is achievable through the little sums I get from my music” she said.

Being her first single, Mawusi is ready to uplift the power of God in the Gospel music industry. She believes it is a good way to start the year and is thankful to God.

Divine selection, a Herbert Crassie produced song, will be available on 27th January 2023 on all music portals.

Wendy Shay Tops Boomplay Charts As The Most Streamed Female Artist In 2022

Wendy Shay has yet again defiled the odds to become Boomplay’s most-streamed female artist for 2022.

Earlier in the year, when Boomplay released its mid-year stats for streams, the Rufftown Records signed musician was the only female Ghanaian artist who featured on Boomplay’s Top 10 out of their weekly Top 100 songs.

Wendy Shay’s ‘Survivor’ at the time came right on top of Black Sheirf’s ‘Kwaku The Traveller’, which placed tenth on the charts.

After the feat achieved by Wendy Shay for the mid-year, it does not come as a surprise that she is ending the year 2022 as the most streamed female artist.

She beats the likes of Gyakie and Diana Hamilton, who were second and third respectively as she walked home with this big honor.

Wendy Shay’s ‘Survivor’, which is a self-affirming story of how to pick up pieces shattered after a major heartbreak is one of the songs that greatly helped her to achieve this feat.

Also, the release of her ‘Enigma EP’, which has the viral ‘Habibi’ song has gone a long way to help the award-winning singer to go home with bragging rights as one of the artists who has gone her songs streamed a lot in 2022.

There is no doubt that this is a record the singer would want to keep and be better in 2023.

Wendy Asiamah Addo entered the musical scene in a turbulent time. Her grit and resilience over the years have manifested in her delivery of relatable hit songs.

Ghanaian rapper, Gambo releases potential club banger ‘Girls Girls’

v
It’s that time of the year again and the ‘Drip’ hitmaker is out with an apt club banger for fans to vibe to this festive season. Stream or download ‘Girs Girls’ across all major digital platforms here: https://gambomusic.ffm.to/gambo-girls-girls

‘Girls Girls’ joins the award-winning rapper’s well-known collection of tunes thus far, rocking an upbeat placement produced by his label, BlackMob Studios. It’s a fun song that captures some entertaining flows from the 2022 VGMA ‘‘Unsung Artist of the Year’’, all of which are catchy thanks to his subject matter of choice.

The premise of Gambo’s new 2-minute song lies in its comic cover, one that sets the tone for what fans can expect. Upon play, the talented artist aptly gives his two cents on the financial pressure girls mount on their men during this time of the year: “Ghana girls go make you go mellow. Naija girls go make you go borrow”, he raps.

Gambo, however, is not moved by the above demands from either woman. He rather lends all this advice to his fellow Ghanaian and Nigerian men, playfully disclosing in the song: “Make I tell toli oh, as a man you for make money oh/You for grind and hustle for the doe, ‘cause this life no be play play oh”.

One of Ghana’s entertaining wordsmiths, Gambo has not only impressed this year with releases and stage performances but has featured some top artists as well, like Edem, Keche and Strongman on hit songs ‘Drip’, ‘Settle’ and ‘We Move’ respectively.

Ras Kuuku switches to Gospel Music, drops “Nobody”

Ras Kuuku Nobody
Ras Kuuku Nobody

Ras Kuuku makes a smart move by veering into the Gospel scene with this latest one he titles “Nobody”.

“Nobody”, the single by Puom Leader, Ras Kuuku, has an urban flair for this production – he blends English with some little Twi (popular Ghanaian dialect) in there to accentuate his originality for the song. It was produced by Bozy.

Listen here on Digital Stores: https://mipromo.ffm.to/raskuuku-nobody

Ras Kuuku has had quite a foggy verbal encounter with the Ghanaian Gospel Community when he got in a few back and forth verbal confrontations with Joe Mettle in the recent VGMA Nominations. To prove a good point and make peace with the Gospel Fraternity, the Rastaman enters their zone with “Nobody”.

After clogging a whooping 25 million views on TikTok, it was surely appropriate to drop an official video for the hit record “Wotelewoea”, thus, Chief One serves it rightfully to his fans!

Lawada Republiq teamed with Lion Group to launch official visuals for Chief One’s street anthem “Wotelewoea”, a viral anthem in Ewe parlance which means “Can You Do It”, or “You Sure Did It?”.

Kabash Images, Togolese Video Director comes to the rescue again and produced a splendid storyline for the song which is tipped to shoot the song visibility to new and higher levels for Chief One. With everything shot on location in Togo, the video would be the last Chief One is dropping for his fans to close year 2022. The song “Wotelewoea” was produced by Hairlergbe.
