Mishasha is on her way to recording the biggest Dancehall song for Ghana with her new single
release titled “Papabi” featuring Stonebwoy.
Released on Friday, February 24, 2023, the song is already making heavy rotation across radio,
television and online platforms since. Without delay, Mishasha has already jumped on a media tour
to amplify the song even before it gets to a week.
Many (including radio show hosts, DJs, entertainment critics and music fans) have already tipped the
song as the biggest Dancehall song to ever hit the eardrums; in a very long time, such a song with a
heavy buzzing hardcore dancehall sound hasn’t hit mainstream yet, especially with the 90s and early
2000s style for the genre.
On Sunday, February 26, 2023, Mishasha kicked off her media tour with an exclusive 30-minutes
engagement on Asaase Radio 99.5fm on ‘Yaad Settingz’ with Ghana’s currently most award
Reggae/Dancehall sound system culture show host, King Lagazee. The fantastic interview session
saw King Lagazee exhuming some new information about Mishasha too where she disclosed she’s an
Accountant and Dietician by profession. This blew audience away how she’s able to meander her
way through it all and still juggling music. Below is the full length interview you can watch on
youtube.
Watch Mishasha’s Interview with King Lagazee: https://youtu.be/h7Dp5DbzQhc
For Mishasha who is now signed to Sky Entertainment – a Ghanaian record label based in Accra –
she doesn’t only major in Dancehall as many would put it.
“I am a blend of many styles because I am versatile. I don’t want to be boxed in just one genre
(Dancehall); I do jazz, Afrobeats, RnB and many other music styles that connect with my vibe. I grew
up in a family of musicians where you would find some of my family playing the trombone and other instruments. I do play the flute too and now trying my hands on the guitar so I have many styles to
me,” Mishasha disclosed.
In the last quarter of 2022, she got officially introduced to the media and public as a signee under
Sky Entertainment, same label that signed new buzzling Afrobeats Singer, Yaw Darling (who is also
equally doing well with his debut release under the label titled ‘Pull Up’).
Mishasha released “It’s You”, an Afrobeats song not too long ago which is also enjoying airplay, but
“Papabi” seems to be taking the lead for her now, which is also a good thing. She has released some
singles previously before she got signed to Sky Entertainment. She is a protégé of Mr. Logic,
seasoned Ghanaian Dancehall Veteran cum Industry Critic – which even speaks volumes on how she
delivered on the song; there was no way she could fail after her tutelage from the ‘Dancehall Dada’,
Mr. Logic.
You can follow Mishasha on Instagram & Twitter @Mishasha_J and on Facebook @MishashaMusic.

Rapper and singer, King Paluta, born Thomas Adjei Wireko and raised in Atonsu Bokuro, a suburb of Kumasi is a proud product of single parenting with a strong backbone of a motivated mother.
With too many ups and downs in his career, there is no sign this young man is giving up on his dreams till its accomplished.
The year 2004 witnessed his first shot at music with a prepping demo and continually building his game with street battles. With a winning mindset, he knocked down every opposition for the ultimate and gaining their fans as a bonus.
The dream for the multi-talented musician has subsequently been on course for the excellence being shared across the world today.
With a dream and an inherent desire to make his talent appreciated worldwide, he took off in 2004 as an independent artiste and it hasn’t been a smooth sail.
He studied production concurrently and is notable for the production of majority of his works.
In 2017 he witnessed the most anticipated giant step into his career after signing on to Guru’s NKZ Music but the memory was short lived. King Paluta has used several interview platforms to drum home a call on investors to support his music journey, despite the many interests shown it has only been lip service. Motivated by his strong mental fortitude and enviable talent, life goes on regardless has been his hallmark. He has since been back to his feet as an independent artiste and currently breaking barriers as a young achiever.
King Paluta’s shot to limelight, arguably within the Kumasi enclave began on the back of “Marriage Counseling” and moved on a fast lane to register his name in various Ghanaian campuses and households with “Xmas Fiesta”. It has been a path a of relentlessness as he keeps getting better with time like fine wine. His ability to create something out of nothing as exhibited in KingSize Volume I, II, III Tapes expanded his reach and propelled him to many platforms, and has since been a talent to look out for with many celebrating his witty, humour-filled and gritty lyricism. Singles including Boobie, Ayamamatanga, My Lord, and Prayer was the favourite of many until the Kumerica reign saw a new dispensation with the release of the breakthrough WAAWAANE, YAHITTE, CHAPLIN’, ALLEGATION, keeping his name on the lips of Ghanaian pundits and music lovers across the world.

Ghanaian Music Giant, SAMINI, is headline artiste for this year’s edition of Ethnik Festival Of Arts And Culture happening in Calgary, Canada on Saturday, February 25, 2023. He shares the big stage with celebrated Bajan Artiste, Alison Hinds.
The Festival is a curated celebration to bridge the gap between African, Caribbean and Diasporean Communities; it is also to strengthen cultural ties among them for global coexistence as a modern community of people of African Descent.
Starting from 12:00 noon EST in Calgary, the Festival is tipped to pull other notable musicians and creatives across different disciplines as well as dozens of patrons within and outside Canada.
In lieu with this weekend’s shutdown by SAMINI is the release of a new song from his stable titled “San Bra”, a classic reggae lovers rock tune he releases on Friday, February 24th!
Mr. Music Man is back again. He carries his virtual pen and notepad this time and writes a love letter to his lover after a ‘mess’.
Samini is broken-hearted in this new song he titles “San Bra”, an Akan parlance which means “Return” or “Come Back”. In this one drop cut, Samini begs his lover to come back after ‘cheating rumours’. Samini cries his heart and lungs out to see his lover return. The melancholic mood he maintains in this new release is quite swooning to woo back his ‘long gone’ lover; well delivered on the Reggae genre.
In this month of love (February), everyone is doing everything to maintain and or rekindle their love bonds, Samini falls for the same route but puts it in a song.
Could this be a real life story? Well, listen to the song below and make your own judgments!
Wow! This feels very steamy!!! How did Mishasha get to keep up with Stonebwoy’s energy on this cracker jam? The Dancehall Community in Ghana finally can find a reason to look up to a new feminine voice defending the genre with something flawless.
Mishasha really did great with her vocal delivery with a striking response from Stonebwoy too on “Papabi”. MOG Beatz did the magic touch with his crispy production as well.
Sky Entertainment isn’t coming to play at all with Mishasha; after swerving us to think the ‘pretty lady’ was going fully into Afrobeats when she released “It’s You” she comes back to surprise us with “Papabi”, a 90s/early 2000s rustic Dancehall flavour. Nice way to close February, the Month of Reggae and Black History Month indeed!
Add this song to your weekend playlist and let it stay there forever!
Mishasha is signed to Sky Entertainment, a Ghanaian Record Label with Yaw Darling as her label mate. Official Video for “Papabi” is due to be released in a matter of days. Do stick a pin!
Braa Owens, the rising star in the world of Afro-pop, has just dropped his latest single titled “Akpe,” and it’s already making waves in the music industry. The song is a perfect blend of African rhythms, catchy beats, and soulful lyrics that will leave you feeling uplifted and inspired.
“Akpe” is a song that celebrates the beauty of life and the blessings that come with it. The title “Akpe” means “thank you” in the Ewe language spoken in Ghana and Togo, and the song’s lyrics are a heartfelt expression of gratitude to God for all the good things in life.
