Ken Blege Set To Outdoor “The Have Your Way” album On August 31.

The gospel sensation and poet, Ken Blege, known for his extra-ordinary delivery of songs in foreign genres, completing them with the Ewe and English languages, is set to release yet another masterpiece titled ‘Have Your Way on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Elinay Rhythm Centre in Accra.

The album “Have Your Way” is a six (6) track music library that serves music lovers a variety of Christian songs produced from well-thought-out lyrics and creative genres. The album stems from a place of prayer, a place of supplication, a cry of surrender, and relief from any self-imposed stronghold that prevents the workings of the Lord from manifesting in our lives. Highlighting relatable life issues, the artist, Ken Blege, carved the lyrics from a poetic point of view, hammering home that the cycle of life is replete with crests and valleys and that every individual is climbing to the top briefly on their own terms. Minister Ken acknowledges that it takes the wisdom of God to maneuver our way through.

Just like the gospel, the song also reiterates that the wisdom of God is engineered by the grace and favor that are available for believers in the saving works of the cross; hence, all believers must make the most of every chance to live according to the design and will of God.

Following the many reports on several killings, wars, and other social challenges that have claimed millions of lives in and out of Ghana, Minister Ken Blege holds the conviction that it is evident that not everyone has the luxury of a second chance in life. When one misses the covering of grace, he or she is likely going to be a mess. So, when you find yourself on the positive side of grace, you must strive with all effort to remain.

He agrees that everyone needs the guidance and promptings of the Holy Spirit, who has been made available to us and mandated to steer us along the path that brings glory to the most-high God.

Minister Blege states that ‘It is my prayer that this prayer, confession, and testimony will find a place in our daily struggles and will make it a point of reference to remind ourselves and to continue to reignite the fire of grace that pours out unto us when we surrender to his will and allow him to have his way’.

With notable tunes from previous albums which include songs such as ‘You love me, Everything about God, Waseda, Yeshua, Stir up my spirit, You see me differently, Me Yesu, among others; this new album increases the collections of album of Minister Ken Blege to a total of three album.

The event would be attended by industry figures such as Lord Bondzie of No Tribe Group, reverend clergymen, and other like-minded gospel believers.

H.E Felix Hator
H.E Felix Hator

The entire nation became extremely gleeful when a Team of Ghanaian citizens took a daring task to travel by road from Accra to London. The 10,000 kilometres’ journey which took them at 13 days through various countries saw them plying numerous countries from Africa through Europe and finally to their final destination, London.

This was not just a dotingly remarkable achievement but also, another historic feat since the news broke out. It took social media platforms by frenzy midway through their journey when the Team finally announced via their social media platforms that they’d embarked on such this ‘exceptional’ trip.

Just like any other travel would have it, it didn’t come easy for these Team of Ghanaians on their trip. No, there was no disaster! But as protocols would demand, they got into some few ‘glitches’, especially when they got to Mauritania. There in Mauritania, a very patriotic diplomat, His Excellency Felix Hator, came through for them.

His Excellency Felix Hator, Ghana’s Consul to Mauritania showed the Team tremendous hospitality when the Team entered into the country (Mauritania). Not only did he come to their ‘rescue’ but he showed extreme care and support for Team Wanderlust. Furthermore, he added a letter of support from his outfit to the high Office of Mauritania that allowed his fellow Ghanaian Citizens to use Nouakchott as a route to continue their journey into Europe and finally into UK.

H.E Felix Hator hosted and fêted Team Wanderlust and made them feel comfortable while showing them some of the amazing projects he’s on with other fellow Ghanaian citizens who are based there and working with him. This is a true mark of a patriotic statesman we should emulate and replicate for our fellow Ghanaian men and women everywhere in the world.

H.E Felix Hator, though would not want to highlight this himself for ‘media clout’ it is very key to celebrate him for his kind gesture to Team Wanderlust; he led them through Nouakchott with a full drive till they reached the Moroccan Border and finally journeyed on to their final destination.

Below is a video snippet of Team Wanderlust celebrating HE Felix Hator for the support.

Musicians Should Explore The Business Side Of Music – Baba Sadiq

Baba Sadiq
Baba Sadiq

Businessman and founder of 3Music Awards Sadiq Abdulai Abu has advised musicians to look into other areas of the music business as a backup plan when their singing career starts to wane.

He sees it as a last-ditch effort to help artistes whose music career may hit its twilight stage and serve as another means of earnings for them.

He posited that when a musician’s career begins to decline, he/she mostly has very few options to pursue and ways to make ends meet because he/she does not have additional sources of support or a backup plan.

Speaking in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Baba Sadiq, who is currently an aspiring Member of Parliament for Okaikoi Central on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), said musicians often had a short career lifespan and it would be appropriate if they had alternative plans in the music industry.

“As an artiste, your lifespan can be very short if you only focus on singing. You can’t consistently stay on top for let’s say 10 or 15 years. What you can do to still maintain a level of relevance in the industry is to get acquainted with all the trades of the music industry.

“Ideally, as an artiste, you should understand other facets of the trade so that when you get to the twilight of your career, you can easily bank on the other areas you are knowledgeable at.

“If you are a singer and you are no longer singing, you can have your hands on producing and managing other talents or you can count on other areas of the industry you have a flair for,” he noted.

He referenced American singer and record producer Babyface as a musician who went through the trouble of learning about other aspects of the music business and is currently relying on that decision to earn millions as an executive record producer, even though he was no longer actively singing.

“Babyface is a typical example of such and he has done so well. Apart from singing, he has explored other facets of the industry and is now a well-established executive producer.

“So in a case where he is not doing music, which has been on hold for a while now, he has something to hold on to. Even here in Ghana, our very own Richie Mensah has hit that mark. He has mastered all the facets of the industry and is using it to his advantage,” he stated.
